For those getting a N3DS with pre-installed software (the Monster Hunter Limited Edition), I cannot stress "do not register a Nintendo Network ID before transfer" enough.
Do not, I repeat, do not register a NNID on the N3DS.
Eh, unless you're constantly on the move, I don't see a problem with physical carts. You're really only ever going to play two, maybe three, different games a day, and you can just carry those carts in your pocket or something.
Every developer who builds a game with an energy mechanic should get punched in the face every time someone has to stop playing their game due to energy.
@Frank I don't understand how you're not the first person in line trying to beat down their door for being the worst developer ever.
@StrixVaria Kairosoft hasn't really figured out free to play economies... their free games were great for us as you never needed to pay to gain anythig, but bad for them as they probably lost money on it. and their paid games are too much (5$) for most of the "casual mobile" market to dump
My issue is not with the gameplay necessarily. Casual games are fine. I'm not trying to be an elitist saying that games aren't worthy of anyone's attention unless they're sufficiently hardcore.
My issue is with the way mobile developers use psychological tricks with the pacing of the early game to try to get you to pay money.
You run out of energy JUST as you're about to accomplish your first cool thing.
@Frank I still think energy mechanics are dumb and don't like games with them, but they alone aren't inherently evil unless paired with the money-extraction methods.
@Rapitor Wait what? I played that game a lot. How is that relevant to what I'm talking about?
@StrixVaria And I get it; any game that has that mechanic gets a massive thumbs down. Kairosoft just has a ton of goodwill from me, so they get some slack.
If you're using an energy mechanic as your monetization method, you're doing it wrong. People don't like to pay for mobile games sight-unseen. So offer a free timed demo or X levels so people can determine if it's worth buying.
Then once you buy it don't rate limit people who want to play your game.
In how many PS3 can I log in with my account of psn?
I would stay at my cousin place like for 2 weeks and I want to download some games from my account to play there.
@StrixVaria You seem to be ascribing something that could be described as "ethics" to companies willing to use psychological manipulation to extract as much money as possible from people
I don't think the mobile market is as bad as everyone says. There are good paid games available; they are just dwarfed by the F2P games, because the "mom playing Candy Crush" market unbelievable dwarfs the traditional gamer market.
Yes, they are partly to blame. Not fully, though. I don't put all the blame on them.
The unethical companies are to blame, but they can and will continue to exist as long as people get sucked into their traps. So I wish people stopped getting sucked into the traps so that it was no longer a market for vapid garbage games so that we could finally see some quality.
I also wish companies like that just all got hit by meteors or something, but that won't happen.
@GnomeSlice Not ARPG, especially not on a phone. I like turn based stuff. But I can't even scroll through the RPGs on iOS, because they allow everyone to claim their game is an RPG.
IThey will need to step their game up if they want people to buy new sim city games, because they can no longer expect people to buy it just becaue they lack a better alternative
so they can't shit out another joke that was sim city 5
these are the people who put the word "goldeneye" in an fps game that had little to do with the original n64 classic, just because marketing showed that people had fond memories of the word
I have been using the profiler software to set up my old logitech rumble pad 2 to work with a game that is designed for keyboard and mouse. It's great so far, the only problem is that the game needs the mouse to be the look controls. I can't handle the mouse and the controller, so I was wondering...

MH4U English Demo Online Multiplayer connection error
I have to write my own question and suggestion.
The most important thing is, what the hell did the developers think???
The Connection...
@MattGiltaji I would suspect that Spidey will be in Captain America 3 (and 3.5), since he's a key part of the Civil War story-line that Cap3 will be about.
Is it wrong that I don't care about odd speed runs? I mean, it's cool that they can manipulate the memory via game controls, but at the end of the day, I was able to do exactly that with my Game Genie 20 years ago.
