@Powerlord That's what the interim standard was called before being finalized in C++11, with the intention that it'd be released before 2010. Well, that didn't happen.

In this case, I actually have a PL/SQL book sitting on my desk even though I rarely write Oracle stored procedures or triggers

INSTEAD OF triggers override the standard actions of the triggering statement: an INSERT, UPDATE, or DELETE

Because, on rare occasion, I do need to because the person who's supposed to be writing them doesn't.

You could use a INSTEAD OF DELETE to just update a deleted column on the rows, rather than actually deleting the rows.

Ugh. I really dislike how all "mobile developer" listings require iOS experience. Yes, I know it's a large part of the market. I just can't code in Objective-C without ending with either a migraine or wanting to throw up.

I dislike triggers because I find they are hidden surprises. Much like overriding operators in C++.

@JasonBerkan I've only used triggers once, and there was a good reason for it. Something like renumbering rows on delete, or something that wouldn't cascade easily. I forget exactly what it was, but there was a good reason to do it in the database and not in the application.

And the crafting system is So. Much. Fun.

There's all sorts of mechanics to learn. The system is really complex and I love it.

Like if you toss another short sword as an ingredient while trying to make another short sword, the end product will have the same stats as the ingredient short sword.

So you can run around with a carrot blade that has the stats of the end-game weapon.

And certain ingredients in a staff recipe will result in unique charge attacks.

Using enough rare or high-level items will also result in a stat bonus.
