@AshleyNunn It does.
Josh Malina? He was on the west wing.
user15026
@GnomeSlice Yeah, I found them eventually
I was gonna get a pic, but I guess I don't need to. :)
user15026
It took me way too long to find them :P
Yay for bugs in Java! setting a maximumsize for your application window is broken it seems...
FAE
FAE
14:02
@Arperum Any luck with trying to find your cat? :o
John DiMaggio (BENDER!) is also a regular.
FAE
FAE
@LessPop_MoreFizz Ooooh. :D Though I mostly know him as Jake (never watched Futurama).
He plays a superhero!
"Never watched Futurama" is not something I ever expected to hear from someone I consider a friend.
I need to go reevaluate my life.
14:04
@FAE Nope, called some organisation that cares for and catches strays, and I'm going to go get a trap there tonight hoping to catch her that way. I have good hopes that it is actually her.
user15026
OH: "We want to do a esports tournament. That can't be hard, right?"
FAE
FAE
@OrigamiRobot It was on Fox when I was younger. I never saw much of anything on Fox because we only got 5 broadcast channels in my house, but only 3 of those worked upstairs, and Fox was not one of them.
@Arperum Good luck, I hope you find her.
@AshleyNunn ...
FAE
FAE
@Arperum Was she chipped?
@FAE So do I.
14:05
@FAE But you can remedy that now!
@OrigamiRobot It's okay, I own Bender's head full of Futurama DVDs to compensate for @FAE's failure.
I knew @TimStone would pull through here.
@FAE wat
@FAE Nope, but I think she probably is going to end up chipped if I get her back.

user15026
14:06
@Arperum Yeaaah.
Dammit @NOPE, you are being super spammy today.
@OrigamiRobot I do what I can.
FAE
FAE
@OrigamiRobot I've seen the one with Fry's dog at a friend's house and it made me cry. :(
@Arperum Yeah, I'd definitely do that.
@FAE Pixel is going to get chipped too once she's old enough.
FAE
FAE
14:09
@Arperum Woo!
@Frank half-way through book. must pass out now.
@TrentHawkins Dude! I didn't think you were serious.
user15026
@Arperum They can do it relatively young. I think Norbert was 4 months-ish when I got him chipped.
FAE
FAE
@Frank bwahaha
@Frank just so we're clear; half-way through revolution, not AYNIK
14:12
@TrentHawkins I know.
@AshleyNunn She's around 2 months now, maybe two and a half.
user15026
@Arperum Ah. :) SO tiny!
@FAE Yeah, I didn't play the last one.
user15026
@LessPop_MoreFizz I like the Sparks Nevada sections.
@FAE That one and the four leaf clover one, urgh, dem feels.
FAE
FAE
14:14
@Frank It's 99.9% good, it's just the last .1% that was wtf
@Frank Great George Takei impersonation. Oh my ...
Super tiny
@FAE Mostly because it requires Origin.
FAE
FAE
@TimStone I haven't seen that one I don't think. Futurama feels like one of those series I'm too late for.
14:15
And Origin can burn.
user15026
@Arperum OMG what a cutie. melts
Of hey, I just discovered why Ctrl-F isn't Find in Outlook.
@FAE "So you can decide which instagram filter gets pasted over the ending" So true, so true.
FAE
FAE
@Frank Ah yeah. I'm enough of an ME fan that I got it despite that.
@TimStone I know, right?
user15026
@FAE I dunno, I recently started watching them from the beginning on Netflix a few months ago. It holds up decently.
FAE
FAE
14:16
@AshleyNunn It's not so much I feel like it doesn't hold up, it's that there's so many episodes and stuff to watch that I get overwhelmed.
I haven't watched most of Futurama either, although I do have season 1 on DVD.
@Ash good because Sparks and spinoffs are like... 60-70% of everything.
user15026
@FAE Ah, that makes sense. It is one of those shows I can watch for a while then leave and not feel bad.
@AshleyNunn She has quite the claws and teeth though. The clawing is mostly when she tries to climb up whatever she fancies (my legs are a good target it seems). The teeth are annoying when playing with her. Because she doesn't understand "no biting in hands, I'm not kidding" yet.
user15026
@LessPop_MoreFizz Yay!
14:19
@Arperum Bela still bites my hands.
user15026
@Arperum Yeah, that will take some time. But if you keep consistent with your teaching her not to, it should be okay eventually....
Also Croach is the best.
@FAE It's not.
user15026
I've got Norbert to the point where he doesn't scratch or bite me except in rare cases (usually out of fear) but he's three now, so I am not sure how long it took.
I haven't figured out how to dissuade her from doing so.
She doesn't break the skin, and she's only playing, but it's still not something I really enjoy.
14:20
@Frank I don't mind a soft playful bit of biting, but not the kind that would draw blood if she was bigger.
4
user15026
@Frank I would spray Norbert with water, and push his head away. It eventually worked.
user15026
@Arperum The problem is that they don't really know the difference, most of the time.
@FAE Fry finds a statue of what he believes to be his brother having become successful because he stole Fry's four leaf clover following his disappearance, but Fry finds out at the end that he has some pretty big misconceptions about how his brother reacted after he went missing.
user15026
@TimStone Oh man, that episode....
My roomate just tells his cat 'No Biting!' when he playbites him and he always then starts licking him instead.
14:22
@Arperum Sorry, the innuendo was just too much
He's like 'what, no I wasn't biting, I was licking you'
Carter only attacks my hands if I make a claw at him.
@AshleyNunn Or they don't care. She has learned by know that I do not like it when she is playing with the pc cabling, she still does, but races away like mad when I Notice and start making a move.
@MBraedley I didn't notice, but now I do.
user15026
@Arperum Progress!
user15026
@GnomeSlice My mom's one cat is that way. :P
14:24
Did anyone else read this in school?
FAE
FAE
@OrigamiRobot I REMEMBER THIS
@Arperum Yep, that's Bela in a nutshell.
She's getting better, though, since I picked up a can of compressed air.
user15026
@OrigamiRobot It sounds vaguely familiar
FAE
FAE
@OrigamiRobot Didn't one of the cats end up losing the tip of its tail?
@Frank They really don't like it when you blow behind their ears.
14:25
@Arperum This one just makes a hissing noise.
So it's great for dissuasion.
@FAE I can't even remember.
She's stopped trying to jump on the bookshelf entirely.
user15026
@Frank Please tell me you aren't spraying it directly at her face or anything like that. (This is something my vet warned me against)....if you mean like an actual compressed air can and not like a pet specific deterrent device
FAE
FAE
@OrigamiRobot It was the tip or all of it, IIRC.
FAE
FAE
14:26
@OrigamiRobot I LOVED THIS BOOK.
@AshleyNunn Oh, no. I read the directions, and I just spray it in her general direction.
user15026
@OrigamiRobot This book was amazing.
And try not to get it too close to her.
user15026
@Frank Cool beans. I just got like super warned about this once.
FAE
FAE
@OrigamiRobot I have a copy of it. Right now. On my bookshelf.
14:26
OK, wtf.
Why is Ubuntu still using nginx 1.4.x when 1.5.x has a fix for a TLS cert size bug.
@AshleyNunn Sadly, I don't usually have it around me when I'm playing, so I can't really use it for going, "Hey, that hurts, stop it."
1.5.0 was released in June 2013.
user15026
@FAE I think my copy is with the three or four boxes of children's books that my mom is holding onto for me
user15026
@Frank This is why I have little spray bottles stashed in various places :P
@AshleyNunn I had a little one that seems to have gone missing.
user15026
14:29
Yay my library card isn't expired anymore :D
user15026
@Frank I just bought a bunch from the dollar store and have like one per room
@OrigamiRobot "Little Willy" is a really unfortunate name.
@FAE This is the one I had.
14:32
Septimus Heap is a series of fantasy novels featuring a protagonist of the same name written by English author Angie Sage. In all, it features seven novels, entitled Magyk, Flyte, Physik, Queste, Syren, Darke and Fyre, the first (Magyk) in 2005 and the final (Fyre) in 2013. A full colour supplement to the series, entitled The Magykal Papers, was published in June 2009, and an online novella titled The Darke Toad is also available. A sequel trilogy, The TodHunter Moon Series, set seven years after the events of Fyre, is planned for release starting in 2014. The series follows the adventures ...
Ahhhh Stone Fox.... that book was so good
@GnomeSlice Why?
holy shet there's a lot of those now
I thought there was only 3
Oh hey I remember reading some of Bruce Coville's books
@Jennybeans When I was in 5th grade, I won a writing contest and got to go meet the author.
14:32
God, that would have been nearly 20 years ago
FAE
FAE
@OrigamiRobot I don't think I read this one.
Or at least 15
FAE
FAE
@OrigamiRobot I loved this book as a kid.
@FAE The feels T_T
14:33
@OrigamiRobot haha that is awesome!
FAE
FAE
@MBraedley I had a ton of his books, mostly the scary story collections, like Bruce Coville's Book of Monsters/Ghosts/Aliens/etc.
I got rid of a lot of my children's books, but I kept all the scary story ones.
When I was in 5th grade, I think I read Chronicles of Naria series about 10 times, haha
FAE
FAE
@Jennybeans I've actually never read these at all.
user15026
@FAE I loved his My Teacher is an Alien books.
FAE
FAE
14:35
I missed a whole bunch of books that are for that age because I kind of just jumped to adult books. So I never read that, Lord of the Flies, Watership Down...
@FAE Yeah, I'm not sure what happened to all the ones I had. They might still be on my bookcase back home.
user15026
@Jennybeans I've read them all at least once, but a few of them I've read many many times
@FAE They were really good. I would actually love to re-read them now
FAE
FAE
@AshleyNunn I never read those, weirdly enough! Mostly just his collections.
Apparently this was my favorite book to have read to me when I was a little kid.
user15026
14:35
@FAE I did a similar thing so I am making up for it now
@AshleyNunn I think I like the last one best
@FAE WOAH. Woah. Woah, woah. Are you telling me you haven't read Watership Down?
user15026
@TimStone I've not either.
FAE
FAE
@AshleyNunn Yeah, I picked up a copy of Lord of the Flies in a secondhand bookstore a couple years ago, but haven't read it yet.
Ooh, Xillia 2's collector's edition is back in stock.
14:36
D:
user15026
@Jennybeans It's one of my favourites
So tempting.
@TimStone I only saw the film recently.

Q: Hosting Minecraft server on Verygames.net (problem to install plugin)

wearetokyoIn first, sorry for my bad english. So, I have bought a hosting server on the website verygames.net (for host a Minecraft Bukkit 1.7.10). I have put some plugins (.jar files) into the good path (bukkit/plugins), but there is no install when I reboot the server in the log file... Can you help m...

...but not in Canada.
14:37
@AshleyNunn I was hoping Disney would finish the movies
@FAE I read Lord of the Flies for one of the own choice novel assignments in high school. Enjoyed it more than most of the required reading. (Bleh, Wuthering Heights)
FAE
FAE
@TimStone I have not. But if you've ever read The Long Patrol by Brian Jacques (part of the Redwall series), from what I hear, there's a similar amount of feelsworthy bunny death. >_>
Well, that makes that decision easy.
user15026
@Jennybeans Yeah, I am super disappointed that they didn't.
FAE
FAE
@Jennybeans Did they decide to just... stop? I did see the movies and rather enjoyed them.
14:37
@AshleyNunn I was looking forward to #7
user15026
@FAE Redwall is a series I never got to....I feel like I should.
FAE
FAE
I think I saw up through Prince Caspian.
> The C and C++ languages are notorious for the very large section of the map labeled here be dragons, or more formally, undefined behavior.
@FAE Yeah, ditto.
@FAE Not really sure what happened. Perhaps they weren't making enough money on them
14:38
@FAE D: My goodness. First Futurama, and now... shakes head Incidentally I also am a big fan of Redwall.
They're not bad, and it doesn't seem right to just leave them.
(I'm quoting Raymond Chen there, I just thought it was funny)
user15026
@Jennybeans I think it was something like that, yeah
FAE
FAE
@AshleyNunn It will make you super hungry, haha. They describe the feasts in wonderful detail. I really enjoyed the series, of what I read of it. I haven't read all of them, but I did read... checks wiki 15 of them.
@Jennybeans Yeah, looks like it. :( That makes me sadface.
user15026
@FAE O.o How many are there?
14:40
there was another series I really enjoyed as a kid... can't remember the name, but it was about a girl with some magic to talk to animals...
user15026
I did read more BSC books than I ever want to admit to. That and Animorphs were my go-to for a loooong time
FAE
FAE
@AshleyNunn 22 looks like
@AshleyNunn I was a huuuge Animorphs fan
@AshleyNunn I had the Megamorphs and Hork-Bajir Chronicles and Visser and everything
oh yea.. Tamora Pierce - The Immortals
FAE
FAE
@TimStone A group of friends and I made a Redwall club in high school. :D
user15026
@FAE Yeah, I had those too. :D I loved the books so much
user15026
14:41
@Jennybeans flails about I love her stuff. A lot. (I own all of it.)
@FAE That's awesome. :D
@AshleyNunn that was the only books I read by her.... but really good. Also something I would love to re-read
@FAE The popularity of the Narnia movies waned heavily after the first one. To the point it was no longer profitable to go on, I believe.
user15026
@Jennybeans I would recommend her other ones as well. Her Protector of the Small books are my current favourites
I still haven't seen the third one.
FAE
FAE
14:42
@AshleyNunn I never read the last bunch myself, but I know how everything ended and... yeah. I also read K.A. Applegate's other series, Everworld, which I really really liked. I started reading Remnants too but didn't finish it.
Animorphs!
I still have most of those.
user15026
@FAE I liked the Everworld books too. I don't know if I really read a lot of the Remnants books.
@AshleyNunn I will have to look into that. I love children's novels
@FAE Did you ever read her Remnants series?
FAE
FAE
@TimStone We had an Redwall themed party once. We made a bunch of recipes, including Meadowcream and Deeper'n'Ever pie and other stuff. It was omg delicious.
14:43
I wanted to, but never got to read more than the preview chapters at the end of one of the animorphs books
@FAE Redwall you mean?
FAE
FAE
@GnomeSlice Yeah I read the first... 4 or 5.
My favorite book as a kid.
FAE
FAE
@GnomeSlice Yes, brain wires crossing.
user15026
14:44
@Jennybeans Awesome. :D I would suggest starting with her Tortall novels because you've already read the Immortals, and then the Emelan ones are also great.
I love Redwall
@FAE Argh, now I'm hungry >_>
user15026
@Fluttershy That was such a great book.
Redwall was great
FAE
FAE
@TimStone I always got hungry reading the feasts.
14:45
@AshleyNunn Excellent :) I have a habit sometimes of going on Amazon and ordering the first book in a series to see if I like it. I should make more trips to the library
@AshleyNunn I loved it. The Search for Snout was good, but not as good. I never did read the third one.
user15026
Man, this is making me realize just how many books i have read.
FAE
FAE
@fredley I teared up when Brian Jacques passed away, not gonna lie.
Has anybody else read The Serpent's Egg books?
It might be an Ottawa thing
really really good though
FAE
FAE
@GnomeSlice Haven't heard of that one
user15026
14:45
@Jennybeans Hahaha I am bad for that too.
I mistakenly used to think it was really popular
user15026
@GnomeSlice I read the first one!
@AshleyNunn Just started reading Wizard's First Rule by Terry Goodkind
Anyone read the Percy Jackson series?
She wrote another series called 'The Fire Demons'. goodreads.com/book/show/2451117.The_Fire_Demons
user15026
@Jennybeans No, but they're on my to-read list. They good?
14:47
And then I read A Wizard of Earthsea, and my interest in science fiction died as my love for fantasy exploded.
I only ever got the first book, but it was awesome.
I need to get the rest and read them.
It's about demons or something coming up into the world and all the hobos form an army to fight them off
Or something
@AshleyNunn Think about it this way: There are so many more books that you haven't read.
It's better than it sounds.
2
@AshleyNunn not far into it, but seems good so far. Apparently there is a TV show based off it
FAE
FAE
@GnomeSlice lol what
14:47
@Jennybeans I liked the series, but not everyone will.
user15026
@FEichinger This is true. But I have made my peace with the fact that I can't consume all media ever. (This took a while.)
FAE
FAE
@Jennybeans Aren't there movies?
@Frank how many books are there in the series? I only have the first
FAE
FAE
@AshleyNunn This fact makes me sad.
user15026
@Jennybeans Perhaps I will bump it up the list, then. :) (I am collecting a variety of things to read when I go camping next week!)
14:48
@FAE TV shows I think. Unfortunately it isnt on my netflix
@FAE It's better than it sounds.
@Jennybeans Uh. Thirteen+? I think?
@AshleyNunn yea I have a huge list of books to check out as well
@FAE Well, Buffy really let herself go ...
FAE
FAE
@Jennybeans My to-read pile has grown into a to-read bookshelf. :|
14:49
@Frank oh dear. didn't realize I was getting into that, haha
user15026
@FAE Man, it used to twig my brain like nothing else.
@FAE yea, mine is about to do that as well
FAE
FAE
@AshleyNunn When I was little, I wanted to learn every language in the world too before I got older and realized that was a liiiiiiiittle implausible.
user15026
@FAE I just keep a list on Goodreads. And then pick one or two at a time.
user15026
@FAE Yeah...that's a little out of reach :P
FAE
FAE
14:50
@Jennybeans Also hi! I don't think I've officially said hello! You're @Chippies' wife, yes? :)
Keeping up with this conversation is really difficult on mobile. :(
@FAE @Chippies has a wife?
FAE
FAE
@AshleyNunn But my little kid brain still wants to!
@FAE hi! yes I am :)
@Fluttershy Chatsey!
user15026
14:50
@FAE I know that feel.
FAE
FAE
@fredley Yeah, the one he moved to Canada for.
Not that it'll help, probably
@FAE Oh wow
Morning, Bridge
@FAE Must be some wife!
FAE
FAE
@Jennybeans Welcome! Nice to have you in the Bridge!
user15026
14:50
@SaintWacko Morning!
@FAE thanks!
> void process_something(int size) {
FAE
FAE
@SaintWacko Hello! Good timing, we're talking books. :D
@FAE Ooh, yay!
I can't believe I'm seeing this in a post about undefined behavior in C. In C, if you have a variable named size and it isn't a size_t, you're doing something wrong.
14:51
Also, I forgot how ridiculous the bass is on these skullcandy earbuds
Left my nice RHA ones at home today :(
user15026
Eeeergh - I just found a romance novel centered around a guy meeting a fat girl and becoming her personal trainer and only falling in love with her when she is skinny enough to be "a worthwhile knockout"
FAE
FAE
@SaintWacko oontz oontz oontz
@Powerlord Where is this post?
FAE
FAE
@AshleyNunn ...so much no
14:52
@FAE The ping sound is this big deep PLONK
user15026
@FAE Yeah, that was my reaction too
@AshleyNunn wince
@SaintWacko Sounds fun
@fredley PLONK
FAE
FAE
@AshleyNunn Friend of mine posted yesterday on FB that this old lady told her she was "very pretty for a fat girl!"
14:52
@SaintWacko PLONK
It's talking about integer overflows in this case, and this variable is explicitly about file sizes.
@AshleyNunn oh my, that sounds awful
Let's all plonk @SaintWacko
FAE
FAE
@fredley Oh my.
user15026
14:53
@FAE I get told that all the time. It makes me make angry noises
user15026
@Jennybeans Yeah, I don't think I will check that out from the library.
FAE
FAE
@AshleyNunn Yeah, she was just like whaaat.
Hell, it should be a uint64 if it's not a size_t
@FAE wtf
FAE
FAE
@AshleyNunn I don't understand what motivates people to give conditional compliments.
14:53
@Powerlord It is a post about how not to C
@FAE You should tell them they're very pretty for an asshole
@GnomeSlice Ooh, I like this
@AshleyNunn Just respond "You're pretty friendly for a bigot!"
FAE
FAE
@GnomeSlice lol, that's like the same thing as another of her friends said she should say too
user15026
@FAE I love when they go "you have a pretty....face." and it is so obvious that they were struggling so hard for something nice
@fredley Yes, but in this case their "fix" is to check that variable against INT_MAX to make sure it doesn't overflow.
14:54
@SaintWacko You're pretty biggoted for a friend
@Powerlord ...
Without actually addressing the issue of using the wrong datatype in the first place.
FAE
FAE
@AshleyNunn Yeah, and at that point it's just like... don't say anything at all, please, whomever you are, just... stop.
@Powerlord Pah types, everythings just 1s and 0s right?
@AshleyNunn Oh! I think I actually remember starting another Tamora Pierce book, about Allanna the Lioness I belive. So long ago I cant really remember, lol
Use javascript, everything is a var, nothing can ever go wrong
14:55
Meh, I should be doing actual work instead of reading stuff written by the authors of Clang.
user15026
@Jennybeans Yes! That's her first series. It's not as good (she gets better as she writes more) but they are good for background-y stuff on a few people
(I did mention this was by the authors of the LLVM/Clang compiler, right?)
@AshleyNunn Yea I remember liking The Immortals better
@FAE It makes a lot of sense if you're a terrible person, I think.
user15026
@Jennybeans Yeah, they were better. Daine was a pretty fun character.
14:57
On a different subject, my name will be in the Shadowgate remake's credits as a Beta tester. Which will probably have a lot of names since basically everyone who preordered it will be in there.
user15026
@Powerlord But hey, one of those will be yours and that is cool.
@FAE Nerd! :P
FAE
FAE
@OrigamiRobot We even picked out what kind of animals we'd be.
@AshleyNunn she was! And didn't she fall in love with that Numair guy towards the end?
user15026
@Jennybeans Yes she did! :)
14:58
@FAE Hare pls
@AshleyNunn I really need to re-read, lol
FAE
FAE
@GnomeSlice I was an otter.
2
People have to have their names in by the 13th as the people who Kickstarted or pre-ordered the Master tier will have access to the completed game on the 14th.
FAE
FAE
An archer at that!
@FAE I don't even know what that means.
14:58
@FAE Sounds about right.
@FAE Don't otters use slings?
FAE
FAE
@GnomeSlice lol
I guess some of them arch
user15026
@Jennybeans Do it :)
FAE
FAE
@GnomeSlice Some did, yeah
The main one in The Pearls of Lutra did.
14:59
@FAE Okay, you've redeemed yourself for your earlier Futurama/Watership Down transgressions with this fact.
...whatever her name was
FAE
FAE
@TimStone hahaha
Time for boring teleconference.
