PS Now beta is live. Prices are interesting...doesnt' seem like devs can go lower than $3 for 4 hours right now which makes the low rental periods seem relatively pricy. $8-$15 for 90 days doesn't seem too bad, though there's not many "big games" included in the beta

I'd personally be most interested in a super short super cheap rental as a self-service demo, really, since no one actually makes them. I thought they were going to make demos using PS Now anyway though

@BenBrocka The problem with the $8-$15 is that you can, for games like Darksiders, pick them up cheaper on PSN. Darksiders is only $6. :P

@Fluttershy most of the games are at least half of their full PSN price. Plus people with only a PS4 (50% of owners) can't buy them on PSN anyway

and most of these games (most games in general) can easily be beaten within the 90 day limit, so for people that want to play rather than own (rental people) it doesnt' seem like it'd be too bad

And there are very fiw "big" games to test with, Sony really should have chipped in more than Killzone 3. At least do Resistance 1 or some older first parties

I'd toss in a few bucks to try Uncharted 1, never got that one

It's...a shmup as much as Mighty Switch Force is a Mega Man game

it really doesn't play much like a shmup other than controls, very few things shhoot at you. It's more like a speedrun reflex game. I like it a lot. And it's in the humble weekly but I got it for Vita a while ago

My code from 8 years ago would look very similar

It can be taken as "Look at me! I has all of the Joel points! I make better structure! I use better versioning! I wirte better code! I am so much better than you! Suck it you!" and he's kind of powerless about it

The developer who did it no longer works for the company. He supposedly made themes for all his code. It makes it annoying when you're looking at old code, and trying to figure out what it does.
