so shortly ago I flagged a question as 'not a real question' the flag was declined with the specific listed reason as "flags should only be used to make mods aware of content that requires their ". I noticed the question I had flagged had become closed since my flag and clicked it and got the question was deleted or moved page with this message "This question was removed from Arqade - Stack Exchange for reasons of moderation"
please explain to me, then, why my flag was declined, if anyone could?
While I agree that
This question is ambiguous, vague, incomplete...
I disagree that it is
rhetorical and cannot be reasonably answered in its current form.
It had four close votes and two good answers when I looked at it. Sure, it could have been more specific, but there was plenty o...
Honestly, I think this was just a mistake on the part of the mod. He probably thought you had 3k rep. I thought you did.
I have dragonscake armor legendary with helmet gauntlets boots and armor. My armour rating is 46537360. They are enchanted as such: armor: increase health and magic regen by 1811939328. Boots: increase carrying capacity by 1073741824 points. Gauntlets: increase magic by 91398456 points and weapon...
Which brings me to another thought. If I'm reasonably sure a question or answer or post of any kind has been already flagged for moderator attention, should I flag it as well, or is one enough?
@Fbuecker the 'game' of the website is fun to play, but much like the 'flood the editing page of the mods' concept, I tend to do what is neccesary first and 'play the game' second
@YiJiang Plus we're really quick at closing questions.
The combination of @Lazers (you sexy beams of light you) posting questions here, along with users posting anything that needs close votes results in a fairly speedy closing process.
A recently posted answer is really just spam with an answer to the question built around it. If you removed the link, the answer would be fine. But should we be editing these answers, or should we be treating them like any other type of spam?
Stack Overflow has discussed this before, and they ar...
I have updated my game Not a real question, originally announced on Meta Stack Overflow, to retrieve the game questions via the API.

@Sterno Yeah. That annoys me. The unfortunate bit is when all three of the flash sales are games I already own. Then I just vote for the steepest discount.
@Sterno yes, its the most tempting time of the year for me. It could easily get me into a buying frenzy and empty my pockets... Steam seems to be very very very evil...
@Wipqozn It's usually easy enough to determine if your presence will make a contribution. Meeting discussing metrics and how to increase sales? Pass. Meeting discussing new measures programmers have to take? Yup, I'm there.
I didn't find a good/exact explanation on this so:
How much rating (e.g. crit rating/penetration rating) is needed for 1% of the stat?
How much hit rating is required? (cap for pve/pvp?)
How does attack/heal rating influence my performance?
How is combat power exactly calculated out of my stats...
I know that the current meta is AP champ in mid with AD carry with support in bottom lane but I have thought about the potential of switching that up.
Keep in mind that I think this would only work as purple team because the AP champ in bottom lane would want to be able to get blue.
Here is a...
@fbueckert Okay, let me rephrase. Assuming the people who organize the meetings aren't missing the portion of their brain responsible for cognitive thought, you won't know if you'll have anything to say until after the meeting.
@Wipqozn I can access and load the store fine, I can see my friends online on the Community feed, but I am apparently not connected to chat or the network... somehow... I don't know...
Or we'd get pulled into a meeting, they'd run something crazy complicated past us, we'd tell them it's possible but stupidly hard, and they'd go, alright, we'll do it.
And then cancel it halfway through because it's taking too long.
> Closing because you never actually got the message. Allow somebody who did to ask this question and provide additional details. Deleting as to not cofuse other users because this question, with extra details, is otherwise okay.
@pixel Honestly, I'd probably choose the 99% off all other games. The amount of time it'll take for me to play through all of them will eat up all the time until HL3 comes out.
@DragonLord If it's answerable without you having had the problem. Your question really can't be answered without you having had the problem, since the cause/solution is very likely going to switch based on the user.
@Sterno the problem is that since DragonLord isn't experiencing the problem there is no way for him to determine whether not any of the solutions work.
His question, at it's heart, is tech support. It's difficult to give people tech support for a problem they aren't having.
@DragonLord I don't think there's a hard and fast policy that we in chat can unanimously point to and say "Yeah, this is why your question was closed/deleted"
@Sterno My first thought is to respond to this with "Only the OP con confirm if the solution works", but I'm sure there are other questions where you could say the same thing.
I seeded this question (10K only link), which was deleted on the grounds that I never experienced this problem. This was intended as a seed question, so is it okay to ask such questions when I've never experienced the problem in question?
@pixel yes i think so too. Else everyone would/could tag a question with windows-7 just because its the OS they use and not a specific part of the question.

I seeded this question (10K only link), involving the "You did not earn a trophy" message on the PS3, which was deleted on the grounds that I never experienced this problem. This was intended as a seed question, so is it okay to ask such questions when I've never experienced the problem in quest...
@Sterno if that is what was meant then yes, it's wrong - in the context of the vocals I would say this is the intention. The phrase itself as written on that picture is misinterpreted by the tag line though
I found this nice map that indicates where players can Flash across walls.
Unfortunately, the range for Flash has been reduced, most recently in the V1.0.0.129 patch in November, 2011. Since this image has no timestamp (and shows the old map textures), it's difficult to determine if it's stil...
Personally, I'd say that SC4 is still the better choice, even though some parts of it is pretty outdated. It has no multicore support, and the game is pretty much CPU bound on any recent hardware. It also has no out of the box widescreen support, and is pretty poorly optimised
@Sterno I fired up Grimrock last night and was going to make custom characters but then I got stuck in that analysis paralysis problem of "Did I put enough points in that stat? Are these balanced well enough? Did I take the right perk? What if I nerf myself? I don't know if this is actually a useless or useful passive. AAAAHHH!" and ended up not starting. I think I might just go with the default characters. >>
@StrixVaria It's the same kind of open world sandbox crime game. It doesn't take itself seriously at all (unlike what GTA IV tried to do) and it's just absolutely ridiculous fun, especially in co-op. While I feel that the main campaign was a bit short because they padded it with the side mission stuff, the DLC has helped round it out more.
@StrixVaria Just Cause 2 has a way different tone. It takes itself a little more seriously. Also not an urban environment, if that makes any difference at all. Also no multiplayer, though there is a MP mod.
@Fluttershy Torchlight - It's ok, I hope it will come up again! I have too many games anyway... With Torchlight 2 coming soon, even if it isn't in the sale, they probably will do it soon
also why oh god why can't F2P games on Steam just use the damn Steam engine platform thing to patch themselves? What's even the point in being on Steam?
One day I get on my Hamachi server and it's the wrong map terrain & the spawn point is incorrect. My server.exe says " [WARNING] Can't keep up! Did the system time change, or is the server overloaded? I haven't gone more than 600 blocks, and i have enough RAM for 20 players on at a time (Wind...
When I play I usually only like to buy a doran's ring if I start to fall behind or I'm getting harassed and zoned. I might be forced to back early, and only have enough gold for a Doran's Ring instead of a more expensive item like Kage's pick or a Blasting Wand. Sometimes getting the Doran's Ri...
If it were my video I'd end it with Minecraft, but I'm hugely biased.
Given that D3 is addictive enough not only to get people to spend real money on virtual items, but also to kill people I guess it's pretty well optimized in that respect.
