@Fluttershy Some people probably do. Others downvote to game the system. Others make it personal. Rarely is it used for it's intended purpose: downvoting non-useful questions and answers.

@fbueckert I think it's a bit disingenuous to say "rarely", we have no metrics on that.

It's not used in general on our answers because we wouldn't write answers that are non-useful.

Plenty of downvotes are for the right reasons.

@FAE Mm. Perhaps. Should've clarified that I was speaking from my personal observations.

@fbueckert Just because an answer is correct doesn't mean it's good.

Remember that part of the reason for voting is to sort the good from the bad.

Some answers may be correct, but are just terrible solutions to the problem.

Therefore down voting the answer is to show "Don't use this solution".

This tends to be more rare on Gaming, but on SO and other technical sites it's a lot more common.

"How do I make a function that does x?"

An answer which is a 100 lines of code which could easily have been 3 is something fitting a down vote.

Or a solution which would result in a lot of unnecessary overhead

This would be in cases where a better answer would be available?

@Wipqozn I got that in a Humble Bundle or something. It's a fairly standard platformer with a neat graphical trick. It's cool at first but it turns into standard fare once you get over the gimmick.

Back when I played TF2, our community had a 6 on 6 tournament. I don't think I showed up to a single match sober.

I like waking up around 7 - 8, and then just lying in bed for ~ 30 minutes.

@Wipqozn My internal clock is far too accurate; I wake up a couple minutes before my alarm clock on weekdays, and even on weekends, it usually wakes me up somewhere around 8/9.

There's a scene in the Honey Bee Inn where Cloud gets in a hot tub with a bunch of men and the dialog is written in such a way that can definitely imply sex

First off, whenever I tell people about this, they never believe me (which to me is odd, since I'm not making it up)

Secondly, my friend is playing through it right now and says he didn't see that.

Does anyone know if there are multiple versions of the game, and some include that and some don't?

Or if it's just really easy to miss?
