As long as it exists, it should be used fully. Consensus isn't currently to get rid of it.

I find it interesting that when applied correctly, it is one of the most popular sub-tags for Diablo 3. I guess that makes sense though, since how to get achievements seem to be one of the things that people most often search for on the internet.

@badp they're permanent on a wide variety of surfaces, moreso on porous than non-porous (ie, they'll leave a more permanent mark on fabric or concrete than on slick plastic)

I kept trying and failing to get Inferno Belial down yesterday. I could get him to the big fat dude stage, from which point it should be completely beatable, but invariably I'd fail to manually dodge eventually and get splattered

@Sterno I'm terrible at that battle, I always get hit by the AoE poison bombs. I finally beat it solo for the first time yesterday (on Nightmare). All my previous times had been with someone else doing most of the work.

Up until Inferno I found Belial to be a chump vs my Barbarian

I didn't even realize he summoned snakes in phase 2 until I played him in Inferno, because he always got beat down too fast

I made the mistake of collecting +20-30 resist gear starting around level 54

And maybe some of it was okay for Inferno, but really you want +50 or more

wasted money

Oh, haha, I am not Gearing specifically towards inferno I guess, I am not worried about resists or what not. I am seeing out less extreme DPS and a more defensive set of gear though

@fbueckert I spent 2 million yesterday side-grading my gear for more vitality but less DPS. Now I need probably 7 million to get myself to about 1000 life on hit

I went from like 2900 damage to 4100 with 12000g spent on AH

You can pick up huge DPS boosts for low price when you get to the 50-ish levels

@Sterno My basic strategy from Hell difficulty was to focus on life on hit.

Just look for level 60 high DPS weapons with Reduced Level Requirement

@fbueckert No, I mean, I've gone over the list of weapons in diablo 3 (us.battle.net/d3/en/item/dagger) and the highest is the dagger at 1.5, and then the fist weapon / ceremonial knives, at 1.4 base.

@James for desktop it's nice as it saves you from moving around. But it really depends on what you are doing... it's really touchy (esp the physical click) on what kind of surface you are on, hard surfaces are preferable. The customization on it is limited, but there are third-party tools that help.

Like, they stole money from girl scouts, and were (obviously) charged and had to return the money. And some how, I really don't know how, they seem to think the charges are unjustified and that they should have been able to keep the money.

I can understand why they wouldn't care about stealing money from girl scouts, but how you can be so stupid that you think you shouldn't be charged for it and should be allowed to keep the money it just beyond words.

In other news, Blizzard is decreasing the time limit on auctions.

Well, the time limit is going from 48 hours to 36 hours and is a permanent change, so I think this is just more "we want less things on the auction house"

Honestly @agent86, I agree with @RavenDreamer. It feels a lot more like a rant than a proposal. And it's not something we don't know. We all agree the tagging system sucks, and have requested changes to it, but the SE team has denied said changes time and time again. So we just need to do the best with the system we have now, even if it is terrile.

@RavenDreamer people could respond with counter arguments or suggested fixes

@RavenDreamer I do think it requires discussion and thought, and meta's the best place for discussion and thought. I also hope to renew SE's interest in fixing the problem.

@Wipqozn I think we've been on the path again of "fixing tags" - even this morning we spent hours debating the merits of particular tags. it's a lot of effort that we expend several times during the year, and it doesn't fix the problem.

@agent86 I think the SE would be much more interested in a list of problems the community thinks needs solving.

rather than going down that path for the umpteenth time, and pulling the tag thread until we realize most all the tags are broken, it's a good time to take a step back.

Any preferred Witch Doctor specs for farming solo? I started here: http://us.battle.net/d3/en/calculator/witch-doctor#iQdYTP!UbV!aZZYaa Level 42, and was soloing with a death here and there, level 44 is where I stopped dying. Others feedback or suggestions to the build? (This is nightmare)

it doesn't really belong as an answer. also we're getting really pedantic about what can be posted where, and I don't understand why. I don't think it would have gone over differently as an answer there or as a post on the blog, tbh

and for the record, I don't think it's pointless to do tag cleanup (and I said as much in the meta post) - I just hate that we have to continually renew our efforts to fight the system.

so this shouldn't be interpreted as bashing the current cleanup activities; it's work that has benefit.

@agent86 I don't disagree with you, I just don't think anything will come of it, because for something to change the SE team would need to agree to change the system. Considering they've turned us down time and time again I doubt this will suddenly change their minds.

I think in the past we've started with the solution - "2 tags in the title" "game tags" - and not with the problem "tagging doesn't solve these problems"

so we keep ending up wasting their time or proposing things that don't work because we don't understand the system.

@agent86 Well, the 2 tags in the title thing was almost all Jeff is I remember.

Everyone pretty much agreed and told him it doesn't solve the problem, and just creates more problems.

Problems with the accepted answer: The fact is, there is no "too slow" as long as you survive, especially as a monk. In Inferno, if you do not kill an elite fast enough, after a few minutes a skull and crossbones will appear over your head and theirs, and you will quickly die because it does a...

Some of the eps are decently lengthy. Others were a bit on the short side.

Yeah I guess I was wondering what the content looked like from someone who dominated the original game

I'm happy though that I got it because I felt like the base game was too short (the padding out of the main campaign using the intros to side missions pissed me off)

Vendors in Diablo III have two options for repairing, Equipped and All Items. The All Items option repairs equipped items and items in the player's inventory, but does it also repair items in the player's stash?
