Either use the iPhone/Android app, or track down and re-enable your old wow dongle, or buy one from blizzards website or, if you absolutely must, fake it, but it looks like account hacks have begun, and it looks like they've managed to circumvent the dial-in authentication system as of now.

The bottom line is that sockets aren't that good. It's much better to hope for an item with +Primary Stat and +Primary Stat / Vitality instead of +Primary Stat and Sockets (which you will slot with +Primary Stat)

Here's a fun trick as you near level 60... search for level 60 weapons in the AH with "Reduced Level Requirement" on them enough so you can use them early. Usually worth the DPS jump and not all that expensive since L60 people don't want them

But since gems only give you primary stats, rolling sockets on 90% of items mostly makes me think, gee, I wish I could have just had primary stat / vitality instead, then I wouldn't have to actually fill the socket ot get the same stats.

I really don't like the attack speed mechanics in this game too much.

The slower your attack speed, the more damage you can do per Mana cost, but at the same time the more likely you are to get surrounded and eaten alive.
