I was getting this problem in development, so I patched the gem, but then that caused more errors, so I reverted and now this again.

@ThomasMcDonald It was also spiked by the holiday bounty-fest.

@RonanForman if you're not running with the command line options -window -noborder, you might try that. It tends to fix most "window" issues with tf2

I think you can right click on the game name and choose properties, and then I think there's a button for command line options. been a while though.

No... they're created on the server.

The server tells the client where to download them.

That's why it's such a pain to set up a server to support replays.

@ArdaXi So if marco had them on the server, I could download them from there?

I... think so, I'm just not sure in what format the server keeps them.

They might be in demo format, which is a lot more powerful to work with but also more of a hassle.

Alternatively, Marco could just have the server record a demo of every match.

That would capture literally everything, but you'd have more work editing it.

Replays are easier, demos are more powerful. It's your choice, really.

Didn't Valve say they were going to let you use dem files for replays?

Basically, in the smoother, you set keyframes for the camera, and the engine tweens.

This should sound familiar to you if you've used After Effects or really any kind of animation programme.

Well I'd prefer not to have to find the shots myself, so I think I'll stick with the current plan.

I saw some DMX files on tf2.stackgaming.com yesterday but now they're gone, maybe they go on server restart.

But if they were there and I downloaded them and stored them where TF2 keeps the local ones then I could have all the replays without bothering other people.

I mean they'd have to hit F6, but they wouldn't have to edit or upload them.
