I'm going to list all the details of the game I'm trying to remember. This was text-based, browser-based, multiplayer game. I believe it was available before broadband was widespread. The setting was space-age and your objective was to gather resources, build forces, and conquer other players....

Q: Travian - send your troops to re-enforce an enemy

I was thinking about sending a large army into a neighbor's village overnight to eat all their wheat. I am thinking that as soon as my army arrives, it will consume their wheat, and not my own. Is my assumption correct? If they have army in their village can I do it? Besides leaving me a little...

Also it's very different from any other web comic out there.

Perhaps I should read it sometime.

Act 1 is really slow but it really picks up past that point.

And then it just gets more epic and more awesome until you find yourself engrossed by it.

And then you reach the end of the current updates after reading it for like a week and it's all like "well shit". And then you have to mash F5.

Is that because it relies on cliff hangers to keep you reading?

Uhm, kind of? There are certainly cliff hangers but it's also just really addictive.

My curiosity to the cliff hangers is I find a lot of stories which draw people in like that, tend to do so by telling you nothing at all, and making you wonder what is going on.

So it's less about the story being interesting, but because you just want to know what is going on with A, but the draw it out for a long time.
