Sometimes when I play games that require a lot of focus (CS, Starcraft 2) after 10-20 minutes of game I notice that my eyes are red, from not blinking enough.
If this happens to you too how do you prevent this from happening?
I know I have to blink but it's hard to remember to do that every 15 ...
I tend to walk when I'm trying not to attract wild pokemon but don't have a repel to use to accomplish that. Is this just a psychological thing or is the encounter rate actually lowered while walking vs. faster movement options?
The game (and this site) both say that the base power of Foul Play is 95, but that the base power also increases with the target's Attack stat.
What exactly does this mean? How is the base power of this move calculated?
@tzenes I'm not really a fan of the hipster cult, either. When I refer to geeks, I mostly mean "people into video games, table-top gaming, and sci-fi". In terms of the area of town, I'm looking more for proximity to my new job (near the art museum) and in a decent neighborhood more than anything else.

I was schooled as a programmer and did it for a while, but became a manager of programmers a few years back and that's what I find myself continuing to do.

I'm limited in that I own a condo right now that I will be renting since I cannot sell it. I'll likely be able to rent such that I lose only a few hundred bucks a month to it, but the fact that I can't rely on always having renters means I am shooting a bit lower than I otherwise would.
I'm playing around with a $1500-2000 range to see what I can find.

I respect TLO's ability to rock at random, but every time I see him in a tournament playing as random it makes me cringe. Invariably, he goes up against someone and gets zerg three times in a row.... or something like Protoss vs White-Ra.
NonY (Tyler) was the winner of TSL2 (broodwar) and has shown himself to be amazing a number of times (show match vs Idra where he showcased blinkstalkers)
Most of what annoys me about him is that he's so in favor of macro play that he thinks anyone who does anything else is inferior. You can apply early heat without it being cheese, but he seems to think anything that isn't pure macro is cheese. I think it's that binary thinking that annoys me most.

There are numerous open-world games that all seem to exhibit similar vehicle spawn behavior: namely, whatever vehicle your character is driving noticeably influences the types of vehicles that spawn dynamically around you.
I recall experiencing this phenomenon myself in the GTA series, Crackdown...

I've noticed they are used in NE mirror matches, but not sure why. All they do is kill other hippogryphs which is kinda not much. Faerie Dragons and DoTs in bird form seem to be the only other targets, but it isn't like NE lacks anti-air power anyway. What am I missing?
Why does Desktop Dungeons have this feature where you have to unlock stuff by playing every class? I got all the magic characters in one try, but I just can't do any of the others.

On expert realism, if a survivor is incapacitated in the safe room at the end of a level, how much hp do they spawn with on the next level? Are they still incapacitated?
I usually kill anyone who's hurt so they can spawn with full hp, but it's a risk because the safe room door remains open while...

But no, he's got a machine set up in the basement to beep very loudly if my laptop sends a DNS lookup to any number of sites in a set list. It's also got keywords to look for.
Good call. He's got those keywords in there too. Before I figured out how to turn off DNS pre-fetching on Chrome, nearly every page set it off.

Basically, they don't want me doing anything non-school related on my laptop. My desktop is much more open. But it's sort of annoying that whenever I try to access my school program's group page on Facebook to ask a question about something, the alarm goes nuts and my parents get upset.

It's strange, I thought it was going to be a lot more design-oriented, but it seems that all we've covered in the first two semesters is how to use some software, and some coding.
My wife is bigger on limiting video games than I am. She's banned any handheld gaming devices from our house, and the kids only get an hour or two of screen time per day.
I figure if I turned out OK after having some marathon gaming sessions in my youth, it can't be all that bad.

@bwarner He constructed a little box with a keypad on it, that basically acts as a power supply to the television. It has to be dismantled to get at the power cord. So he has me choose a numbered code, and then whenever I enter that code, it supplies power to the television for 45 minutes, and then shuts it off. It gives you a 5 minute warning, and a 1 minute warning.
And has a programmable 'break time' in between blocks of gaming time.
It also had a variable 'curfew' time, where after a certain time, it wouldn't allow me to play.
I've got 2 radio buttons. I need to validate to make sure that one of them has been checked. I've got a submit button that should do it, but first I've been doing .onblur validation to generate feedback for each field.
I realize that .onblur is sort of redundant for a set of radio buttons, but I'm still doing it. It's not even calling my function to verify that one has been checked though.
