@Wipqozn I'm not sure yet, though the forum thread hints at it being possible. See that island in the background? Apparently there's a few of those (even one in the Nether!) and there's quite a lot you can do with them.
In other words, there's more to this map than meets the eye.
In Snoopy's Street Fair for iPhone, one of your goals is to make Snoopy angry ten times.
I tried just tapping him to get various reactions hoping that one of them would be anger, since that approach worked when I had to make him laugh ten times.
However, I have now seen every emotional reacti...
For reference, I am playing a succession game using version 40d.
So a Trade Caravan showed and then there was immediately a siege. I think most, if not all of the Caravan made it to the trade depot. It certainly looks like they've started unloading their wares (I did get an announcement to that...

I know this is subjective, but I would find this information very valuable. I have been hosting LAN parties for about 6 years now and we are all getting bored of playing the same old games.
Question:
What are some PC games for LAN partys that meet ...
I noticed that many spells can be charged, e.g. the Sparks spell I got in the beginning can be cast continuously until I'm either out of magicka or the target is dead.
As you level up your skills just by using them I wondered if it makes any difference whether you cast a spell without charging ...
It has been a long time since the release of the last elder scrolls game (Oblivion) and i have heard nothing about a new elder scrolls. With a game as good as this would they really stop at 4?
@Wipqozn That's the only way you would've thought that? Also, I'm fairly certain there was an escapade between Oak and that user, but if he's ok with it...
@LessPop_MoreFizz I know. I just thought I'd finally ask why.
Regardless, pretty sure it's not 'fuck oak' - @foak is a friendly, well adjusted contributor to the community, and I don't remember any bad blood with anyone involving him.
@RavenDreamer Yeah, I haven't been reading too many of them. too much going on, too little time. :/ I can't be super on top of shit like I was for New Vegas.

Can I somehow infect a giant and turn it into a humongous werewolf?

It was an adventure game with colorful 2D graphics that looked like an animated cartoon. The overall art and humor were very reminiscent of the Ren & Stimpy Show.
Like in Ren & Stimpy, there were two characters. The one that looked similar to Stimpy was an alien. I believe the goal of t...
Why games are just less user-friendly than they used to be 5-10 years ago?

This question regards to which method is more effective in winning matches, not necessarily gaining experience or proficiency. Usually, my first instinct tells me that I should always stay close to my teammates in multiplayer shooters. However given how easy it is to die, and how fast it is to re...
When using Stalker, I feel that I move faster aiming down sight than walking normally.
Is this true? Also, in objectively relative terms, what is the speed advantage from using Stalker?
Just started playing MW3 multiplayer, and I noticed that sometimes I received a buff called Juiced upon respawn. This buff increased my speed momentarily (presumably so I could get back in the fight), but it left me wondering: what caused it?
Is it something I can trigger intentionally? Is it ra...

I have been ripped off a couple of times recently trading for hats and weapons in Team Fortress 2 - is there a price guide available anywhere that I can reference to stop this from happening?

@Wipqozn The main difference I see is that this question is really broad. There are any number of mediums that you could use to create a list of LAN games, whereas the TF2 question is looking for something much more specific
agh, things are confusing.
@RavenDreamer I think I deleted it while you closed it
In the Destruction magic school there are three main types of damage-dealing spells: Flame, Frost and Shock. There are different perks for those types, so before committing to using one specific type I'd like to know the general differences between those classes.

In Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception, I jumped onto an enemy from a ledge and killed him quietly. After doing so, i picked up a grenade and a little blue ninja-looking icon popped up along side it. @DoozerBlake Honestly I haven't been closing any questions in the past week for Skyrim since it would just be a pain to dig them back up and get activity going again
The BBFC has confirmed the existence of cannibalism in Skyrim. I'm curious as to how this aspect fits into the game: Is it quest related like in Fallout 3? Where does the quest originate? What are the pros (quest rewards, etc) and cons (reputation decrease, etc) of choosing to cannibalize?
Occasionally I'll see a white circle filled with what looks like static on my minimap, which will eventually disappear.
It usually doesn't last long, so I haven't had the time to see what it is - what exactly causes this to show up, and should I avoid it?
As I grabbed everything that wasn't nailed down so far and as I don't want to throw away any ingredients I could use later I though it would be time to look for a house to store all my stuff. My inventory is getting fuller and I'd like to deposit all my crafting ingredients in a safe place.

Hmm, Skyrim is not entirely happy with me alt-tabbing out of it, sometimes it just closes when I try to reopen it. That is somewhat annoying for asking and answering questions.
For the weapon proficiency "Range", it does not show on the weapons stats the details of the improvement. How much range does it add compared to how much range Silencer removes?
In Skyrim, will striking an enemy in certain areas do more damage (e.g: headshots = x2), or produce any other effects, such as stunning/crippling?
I understand that sneak shots do more damage, and that the damage from those/attacks from behind can be increased with points.
The ESRB officially rated Skyrim "Mature". After reading the detailed description of the rating, I found this gem:
As the game progresses, the dialogue and on-screen text contains references to sexual material (e.g., “. . . all the whores your heart, or any other organ, desires,” “She . . . ...

It seems that despite no matter how many combinations of right clicking, left clicking, and favorites I set up, I can't seem to use a shield in one hand and magic in the other.
Is this always impossible? Is there perhaps a perk that allows this ability?
In Skyrim, as with most RPGs, I find myself overwhelmed by a compulsive desire to obtain all of the things. All of them. To this end, I wound up picking up five iron warhammers...only to find out that I had exceeded my maximum weight carrying capacity and that my character had been slowed to a sn...

Since I plan on specializing in two-handed weapons, it's important for me to understand what factors increase or decrease stamina regeneration so I can preven...

Fighting a dragon, at least in the vids looks to be combat focused (as it should be) so armor, weapon skill, and magic skill would make you much more able to kill a dragon. My question is, would a theif type character (or a non-destruction mage) still be able to kill a dragon?
There is quite a lot of nice stuff just laying around, useful and valuable items that their owners are not actually making good use of. I'm currently saving the world in sub-standard equipment, so I was thinking of just taking what really should have been mine in the first place.
What are the co...
There are mage robes in the game that give bonuses that are very useful to mages, like magicka regeneration. But currently I'm running around in armor, as a robe doesn't really protect me much if a bunch of undead are hitting me.

It doesn't seem to be consistent how many skills I must level up in order to gain a character level. It also doesn't seem to be a whole number, since I currently have about 2 pixels of bar left to get from level 3 to level 4. What is the formula like for determining when the character gains a lev...
When there are two of my units adjacent to each other, you can perform a unit swap between their two hex tiles. You do this by dragging the cursor of one unit over the other. The cursor turns white, let go of the mouse button and the units swap tiles.

In lieu of a house, I'm considering clearing a dungeon and storing stuff in its chest, but I don't know if the enemies will come back. After killing everything in a dungeon, will more enemies respawn eventually?
Having just looted my very first spoils of war, I notice that some of the items I've picked up have small, upward-pointing triangles next to their names.
So far, the triangles are appearing next to heavy armor only, but it seems unlikely the game has a "heavy armor icon" but no other kind of ico...

How do I use Racial Powers in Skyrim? My Dark Elf quickly got ambushed by wolves after the tutorial dungeon, and as the three of them surrounded me, I thought it would be awesome to light myself with the fires of my Ancestors, burning the wolves around me!

The game is made of multiple stages, each with multiple scenarios. In the scenario selection screen, some are marked with a hollow star, others aren't. What's the difference?
Hey im trying to find an old adventure game.
-It was in 2d and was partially birds eye view
-You could choose from a knight, mage or elf(archer)
-Their where blue, red potions and arrows to pick up
-You could play two players on the same keyboard
-You fought mostly skeletons and dark mages

I noticed that you don't get better at sneaking by simply sneaking around anymore.
The only way to get better that I discovered was to successfully attack enemies while hidden.
Are there other ways to increase your sneaking skill and what are they?
When you choose your race in game there is a only short description of bonus given by that race. Where can I find a full list of bonus/malus of each race playable in Skyrim?
@Arkive Well, there isn't specifically anything against them. However, dropping a link as an answer is generally discouraged; some accompanying text describing the contents of or summarizing the link is usually better (in case the link rots, and also to make the answer feel more like an answer).
Modern Warfare 3 had its three-day head start. And, to their credit, they racked up a decent 60+ questions and 10k+ views. Not bad. But now it’s time for Skyrim to join the contest, and I think we all know what’s going to happen. In case you’re coming late to the party, we’re hosting a [...]

Every ingredient for things you can make in Skyrim has 4 effects. The first one can be discovered by simply eating the ingredient.
I know that the first and second one together can also be found out if you have the right perk for it in the alchemy tree.
But how do I get to the other effects?
I usually leave my USB joypad always connected to the PC, but Skyrim decides that it should be the main input, so I am enforced to disconnect it before start to play.
Is there a setting that I can define to always use keyboard/mouse as main input without disconnecting joypad?
Without un-favouriting all of my current favourites, and then favouriting them again, is there any way to change the order that my favourites appear in?
I tried using a weapon in both hands: a dagger in one and a sword in the other. But I soon realized that I could not parry, since the right click is used to attack with the left weapon. Is there another way to parry when both hands are occupied? How?
@John f oak joined as "oak" when I was still a temp moderator and very active on chat, and he started chatting as well, which made me get pinged like a zillion times. He was actually extremely nice for volunteering to change his name after people on chat told him this could cause confusion. So thanks for the concern but it's all good :)
The level of the driver increases the resistence of tiredness.
I've heard that the type or power of car could affect too. Is it true?
What other factors affect the tiredness of the drivers in B-Spects?
I'm trying to find a game I used to play on the coin-op something like 15-20 years ago. It is a 2d shooter game, seen from the top, with vertical scrolling. Your character hat to shoot and destroy or enemies, like tanks, and armored aliens. It was ambiented in extraterrestrial planets, space plan...
I've tried to win the Monaco race in B-Spec (the old cars) several times, and the max I've get is third position.
I've used the Toyota 7, with a driver of level 24.
Is it possible to get the gold? How?
I'm trying to find the name of a cool game that was popular like 15-20 years ago. You were a cowboy at had to shoot at other cowboys with your guns or improved weapons. From time to pig pigs run accross the screen, and shooting at them could get you money or weapons. The screen was fixed, no scro...

Sneak attacks do 6x damage with one-handed weapons
Sneak attacks with daggers do 15x damage (end perk on skill tree)
A dagger is a one handed weapon, so does this mean either;
Daggers just deal 15x damage
Daggers deal (15x + 6x) 21x damage
Daggers are op and deal (15x * 6x) 9...
In an answer to this question, Fabian mentions that you can discover new potions by trying out different kinds of ingredients that match together.
Are there any other ways to learn about new potions?
Now that the game is released, this is a follow-up question to this question.

Skyrim adds an awesome feature, that lets you know if you have cleared a dungeon or not. This saves a lot of time and effort, because you do not have to revisit every dungeon you have been through like in Oblivion. Now I was wondering, how does the game determines if you have completed/finished/c...
