@troy_s the text from that "answer" below:

sRGB is the worst color management preset. It's built for crt screens. Stop misinforming the blender community with your lack of competence. @troy_s

@troy_s just to let you know in the color management there is an invertion on the BT.1886, it's named ETOF
@Mareck Explain?
@troy_s Just an inversion in the name ETOF in place of EOTF
Oh typo. Thank you.
@David Where was it?
yes nothing more ^^
But I'll ask you more in depth soon, just need to think a bit more
@David Hilarious. I suspect I know who that may have been. The phrasing is too close to another post.
I wonder where that comment went.

@troy_s are you agree that exposure is a multiplication?
@Mareck I won't have that argument again. :)
@Mareck To correctly adjust exposure, you multiply by a ratio.
@Mareck So if you are in a scene referred linear model, you would multiply by a value based on the number of stops you wish to adjust. That is ORIGINAL_VALUE * 2^STOPS should work I believe.
So for example, if our middle grey value lived at 0.18, and we wanted to adjust it up 2.1 stops, it would be 0.18 *2^2.18
Same goes for down. 0.18 down 1.3 stops? Should be 0.18*2^-1.3

is the image working for you yet? It seams S3 is back working again.
That is hilarious @David.
thought you would like that :)
Cracks me up. Almost certain I know who that was.
some other guy you've interacted with?
I've had a very few moments where I have rammed into a few folks on BSE. This might have been one of them.
21:07
Sorry for that, sometimes too much informations^^.
You means 0.18*2^2.1 (not 2.18) if I'm right.
@troy_s Ok, I was asking because I try to re understand some part of the color space topic...
The fact that you're not sure to call Filmic a color space, is it because it's not so different from the EOTF transfer, but it's simply the way it's applied wich maps scene value to display value before applying the curve?
21:21
Powers before Multiply. :)

@troy_s ok yes I've inverted the things ^^, I've spent the evening trying things, thinking... my questions end up on one point that I need to ask you in private.
I'll send you an email.

@troy_s Sent.
See you.
