Ah cool, I might watch it.
When I hear "Ramen", I think "Naruto"; but otherwise it's not about food.
It's also not a movie.
(Well, there are some movies about him.)

@Mien, if you're into Japanese culture (and not to mention Food :-) Tampopo is a great movie. I showed it to some people and had mixed responses. Some loved it, others just didn't understand it...
As a book reference, I'd like to recommend Culinaria Spain. It's not a technical book, but it has great pictures, nice recipes and it's a nice dive into Spanish cooking.
It's organised per region and very entertaining.
I almost like all movie genres ;)
Have you seen this one:
(Jiro Dreams of Sushi)
A documentary on 85-year-old sushi master Jiro Ono, his business in the basement of a Tokyo office building, and his relationship with his son and eventual heir, Yoshikazu.
I haven't yet.
But that's a real food movie.

No, haven't seen that one, I'll put it on the list :-)

@BaffledCook was your polling question deleted? Or just closed? I tried looking for it, but didn't find it.

@Mien, It was deleted (closed and inactive for 30+ days). You need 10K rep to see it.
Oh okay.
I wanted to say 'ratatouille' or 'julie and julia' but I think you've seen those two?
They're quite famous.
I did enjoy 'Ratatouille', but I missed 'Julie and Julia' had great critics, though.
One film I enjoy a lot, and view repeatedly, is 'Dinner Rush'. It's about a night in a busy Italian restaurant...
Doesn't ring a bell.
I like Julie and Julia, but it's a bit of a girly film, if you know what I mean by that.
It's as much about feelings as it is about cooking.
I'm not saying men don't feel anything though ;)
For a long list:
The first link is a top 10.
Oh, I forgot about Chocolat. I think you've seen it?
