Are you even allowed to download files bigger than "x" mb/gb set amount when on 3G/4G?

Can u download files greater than 100mb? is there a max file size download limilt
I believe so, although I've never tried.
Whether an iOS app is considered one file is doubtful

just a mate of mine is unable to download files greater than 100mb on his iphone, but his is a 3gen i think, so could just be old software
