With the new car, I don't really have a lot of things to fiddle with. It's all still pretty much perfect (to within one standard deviation). Ergo, all that car parts money has to go somewhere right? ... anyway, my new sim racing pedals just arrived and I really want to set them up :-)

Though I'll be kinda proud if I pull this one off and finish this repair nicely, I like watching car restoration stuff so it's nice to give it a try, the downside is not having a car until I finish it :p

Sim racing? What console are they for? Sounds fun!

IRacing on the PC - my sim racing journey has been an exercise in learning how important it is to finish, not to be the fastest. My Formula 3 race last week was a great illustration - sure, I'm a second off of your pace but you crashed and I didn't so.... :-)

The welding today went messier than I expected, I knew it was not going to be easy but damn, lots of things going wrong. First run was crappy, probably had bad settings. I punched a hole on the sheets more than once, and it's a pain in the arse to close those after they are done. On one of the last runs I even threw a small piece of metal on the hole and welded it on top, then grinded it down

Too long since I practiced, so I guess I should have expected it would be bad, but I managed to finish the first part. Not pretty, but it's solid, I'll just fix the shape with some body filler
