Do you want to close your question?

You flagged it and said it needed to be closed based on the meta discussion, but you can close your own question if that's what you choose to do. @BobCross and myself have left the question open and there are no vote to close votes. I don't have a problem leaving the question open.

@Larry Either way, I don't mind. I can't delete it myself, however.

@Drise oh yeah, you can still close it I think, but you can't delete it until it's been closed.

Why did you choose to ask a new question instead of editing the original one?

@Larry I dunno. I'm somewhat tired today, and not making good decisions. However, I felt starting fresh with it was better than trying to salvage the old one. I dunno.

Also, is meta rep also tied to normal rep? My meta rep keeps matching my normal rep..

@Drise I have closed the original question as a dup of your second question, that way the better question stays open and you and mikes still get the rep from the question and answer provided.

I am open to input if you think it should be done a different way

@BobCross I was torn between merging and closing as dup, because the answer mikes gave would need a rewrite as you suggested. But the merging works too

@Drise Yeah, I will address all of those if I get the time to answer the question, because the way I want to answer the question will take me an hour or more

@Larry I left the answer not accepted because I remember you saying you would answer it very thoroughly.

@Drise Thanks I don't like to run anyone off, sometimes I think mods can be quick to close instead of working with the user to make the question better for everyone.
