@Zaid Both costs us a lot of money? :)
Mechanics called me and asked me if I wanted to replace the clutch because it looked like it wouldn't last much longer, and I'd only have to pay for the part since the labor was included in the transmission disassembly
There's a popular saying in my language: "What's a fart for someone who shitted his pants?", so I said yes for the clutch replacement as well

1:04 AM
@IanC - Yah, they told you right ... better paying only for the parts instead of for labor too.

I'd probably be able to find cheaper parts on the internet, but the price would be unbalanced by having to pay for another transmission disassembly, and I'm still not confident to disassembly the transmission myself so soon, guess it was the right call
Today I worked on my bike, had a torn seat, so I changed the seat cover. I didn't have a pneumatic stapler, so it was a PITA, because the mechanic stapler would leave the clip a little off and I'd have to hammer it down a bit, but the result looks kind of good :)

@IanC - Great job! I've always been afraid of upholstery, so I'm in awe ...

@Pᴀᴜʟsᴛᴇʀ2 Thanks! Time will tell if the clips are well secured, but I think they'll hold

Hog rings are pretty stout little pieces. I'm sure they'll hold.

Never did any upholstery until now, but I guess it's all about stretching the cover a lot and making everything simmetric
I think it gets much more complicated with those pattern seats (common in old school projects)
Opening the seat made me realize a few things. First, how much hidden dust I didn't realize I had in my bike. Second, that my bike is feeling the age coming (almost 7 years now), so there are a couple of rust points in the frame, I believe all superficial (have one or two photos)

Can I get a quick harshness check?
-1
A: How long it takes for the internal lights to drain a relatively new battery

Michael ProkopecThe internal lights in the car, can drain the battery that quickly. What I tried to explain in my previous answer was, that most internal lights, if not LED are at least 15 - 25 watts. If there was more than one on, it would drain the battery that fast, because the amperage would exceed the amp h...

I'm genuinely not trying to be a dick here.. but it's just really hard to tell someone they are wrong without it coming abrasively

@IanC that looks rather quite nice!
@motosubatsu I only see commentary on one of the two answers. If there wasn't any other correspondence then I wouldn't consider it as something harsh. It would be better if you could explain why you think he's wrong rather than just say he's in error

I concur

I can sense that you did try to explain your viewpoint but it wasn't obvious to me after a cursory glance.

1:19 PM
@Zaid hmm...was hoping that my second comment combined with my answer would be clear on that. Any suggestions for how I can explain it better?

If I was in your shoes I'd just let someone else chime in

Most festoon bulbs are 5 watts or less anyway so I don't know where he gets his 25 watts per bulb figure from.

@SteveMatthews that's pretty much where I went.. 25 watts just feels completely unrealistic. The Accord's bulbs are actually on the high end IME by being 8
and the suggestion that LED ones would be 5 watts is completely unrealistic - 0.5W-1W is generally the case

This answer:
came up in Review - it's clearly a "I'm having this problem too" answer but I didn't want to select that since the default comment just asks them to go ask their own - since that would be a flat dupe, and the original didn't have the actual answer yet I skipped it and just answered the original
still seems a bit untidy though so perhaps a mod would be willing to convert it to a comment>

I have concluded that low temperatures make you feel cold. I have significant data to support this analysis.

@Zaid Thanks! :)
Good evening!

@motosubatsu no I have a controlled double blinded test. I’ve also filled out my human testing paperwork. When it’s chilly, people feel totally cold, yo.

@BobCross I'm convinced! My own testing has been able to replicate your findings also :D

I picked up the car at the mechanics today, it's still not in my garage though because I had to leave it in the windshield shop
transmission seems fine, clutch was replaced and while I was there we checked the timing belt and I decided to replace it there. They allowed me to watch the work. I checked the water pump, it doesn't have any noticeable looseness yet. I didn't replace the thermostatic valve (they said it could wait a bit, and my priority was the belt anyways) and the guy said my tensor came with a defect
had to buy another one there, and I'll check with the seller if I can either get the money back or trade it for another piece (maybe the water pump)
My timing belt cover is a bit loose, so I think I'll replace it in the future, to avoid it slightly touching the timing belt
