@zipzit There isn't a clearly defined definition - it has evolved over the years, and has been decided by the community. Have a look at some of the discussions on Meta where we've debated whether a particular area is on- or off-topic. It looks like that question was closed as people thought it was too broad - perhaps it could be narrowed down to be easier to answer? e.g. by focusing on a particular area?

The “losing power” question is so broad that it can’t really be answered. What could cause a loss of power in any engine ever? Pretty much anything.
 
But like what would be the main things?

Yes, but... I'm happy to support the group's decisions here. I'm a bit confused when I see inconsistencies in responses though.

My take is that when we have a clearly defined goal (and perhaps, values) that just makes stuff clear, really clear. And a clearly defined goal is written down.

Funny, we all bring stuff to the conversation based on our backgrounds. And whether we admit it or not, we tend to emphasize ideas and postings that correspond most closely to our own experiences.
