@IanC are you West coast US? Where I live now I don't get much in - I'm in the centre of Scotland so while we have small surf on the East coast, Ireland is West of me so there is no surf unless I head more than 6 hours north or south :-/

@RoryAlsop I'm in southeast Brazil, we don't get as much swell as west coast US, but there's usually something around 3ft hawaiian. Ocasionally it gets bigger and more solid, specially when some tropical cyclone forms

But do you have family or friends in those spots 6h away? So at least you can spend a few days to enjoy it

@IanC sadly, to get to Orkney or Cornwall, where I have family, takes 9 hours or more...
