Q: How can I see the thumbnails of HEVC and mkv with VP9 encode videos?

JulianLaiAs you can see in the picture below, only the H264 codec video shows up its thumbnail, not the HEVC or VP9 (mkv). How do I see their thumbnails?

Ok, when you see thumbnails let me know, mean while we follow steps.
sudo apt-get install totem
I suggest open two terminals, one for nautilus files and other to follow these steps
One should be kept aside.

install totem
sudo apt-get install totem
I have installed totem.

Now close all terminals
Now open new terminal and run:
sudo pantheon-files
be careful: you opened file as ADMINISTRATOR

Keep ONLY totem
remaining just CUT
DONT DELETE
THE REMAINING 2 PLACE IN HOME FOLDER
