@Dennis how exactly do you implement the interchangeability between \n and in Jelly? i can't seem to find all of the information in the codebase

@NickClifford That's done in several places actually. Just searching for should find all of them.
ŒG now performs GET requests. Be afraid. Be very afraid.

@Dennis i guess a better question would be how do you differentiate between newlines in a string literal and newlines to separate links?
I'm not sure I understand the question. Both linefeeds and can be used interchangeably inside and outside of string literals.
never mind, I was misunderstanding the code
I was under the impression that there was a .split() somewhere to separate the links, which there appears not to be
17:31
No, links are matched with regexes.
Horrible, horrible regexes.

@Dennis I'm creating a challenge and would like a Jelly program as a test case but I don't know any Jelly. Could you give me an iconic Jelly program longer than 10 bytes? Much appreciated.

@HyperNeutrino you got an error?

@JonathanAllan It says that module dictionary has no attribute short when I try compressing something according to how it specifies.
dictionary should be a part of the compression module, not a module
what did you name the module?
user165474
Like you mean the filename where I saved the program?
what happens if you import myName;dir(myName.dictionary)?
yeah you save the program as myName.py
user165474
ok
somewhere on your path
then you should be able to import myName from a shell
*a python interactive environment
user165474
23:24
If I do import myName it just hangs until I give it some input and then it gives me that error
or you can save it somewhere off path and run python from that directory
hmm..
maybe I had to change the script
user165474
And also the issue is with the dictionary module that's imported at the start of the program
Ah you do need dictionary :p
it's part of the jelly distribution
user165474
The import doesn't cause problems, but it always says module 'dictionary' has no attribute 'short'
user165474
oh then wrong dictionary
23:28
yep it's here
user165474
owtf i overwrote dictionary.py with the compressor somehow
dictionary.py is a file with two big strings
user165474
Ah. Okay.
put that in the same folder as the script (or vice versa)
user165474
yay it works :D thanks!
23:30
no problem
