@cngzz1 Not a bad job and quite a bit of it. You're getting the hold of it fast, but I feel like you're sometimes too quick to flag.

Q: Is light a reactant in photochemical reactions?

AntonAccording to IUPAC a photochemical reaction is a reaction caused by absorption of light. I still can't understand how we should consider light as a part of a reaction. Is a catalyst or a reactant? In some reactions there is the $hν$ notation above the reaction arrow. For example we may have the f...

In physics, the observer effect is the disturbance of an observed system by the act of observation. This is often the result of instruments that, by necessity, alter the state of what they measure in some manner. A common example is checking the pressure in an automobile tire; this is difficult to do without letting out some of the air, thus changing the pressure. Similarly, it is not possible to see any object without light hitting the object, and causing it to reflect that light. While the effects of observation are often negligible, the object still experiences a change. This effect can be...

Hi i had a question regarding glass electrode
👀anyone there
I was reading up on glass electrode which is a structure of silver wire coated with silver chloride in a 0.1M HCl solution bound by a glass tube
Outside this we take another test solution whose pH we want to find. The Na in glass solution exchanges with the H in the test solution. So my question is why isn't the H in the 0.1M HCl replacing the Na in the glass

Partial excess gibbs free energy for Iron in an Iron Manganese melt why is it computed as $\omega X_{Mn}^2$?
Why are they compeletely ignoring the mole fracttion of the other element..
I know that this is an assumption but even then I am asking

Q: Isn't water a Lewis base in the ammonia–water reaction?

Aravind Suresh Exactly one of these statements is false. Which one? (a) When ammonia dissolves in water, the latter behaves as a Lewis base. (b) The conjugate acid of $\ce{H-}$ is $\ce{H2}.$ (c) Boric acid is a monobasic acid. (d) Ammonia behaves as an acid when it reacts with sodium metal to give sodamide and...
