@M.A.R. agreed, but how will water open open the ring with ozones (something like ozonide should form afaik)? Generally an oxidative or reductive workup is used to arrive at the final product, and I can't see how simply water can be used to open the ring up.
This was shared by @AniruddhaDeb the other day, but it's the replacement of the last step (basically using water instead of Zn + AcOH instead or something else) which I'm not understanding.

So my question has been cleared, thanks. I realized that what I'm talking about is normal ozonolysis, it's just that the water absorbs an extra oxygen (whenever not absorbed by the system itself) to form h2o2 as a byproduct.
What confused me a lot was that in many places h2o2 is written on top of the reaction arrow of the last step which made me think it was being used as a reagent.

@skullpatrol Yes, I am a bit disappointed that there aren't more. Maybe the ones who wouldn't have signed such a thing have already left during the events of last year.

I am also surprised that main meta is so quiet about this whole story. Forcing mods to sign Sara's evil plan or have them fired? That seems a bit too similar to Monica's case for me; however, it looks like the remaining main meta community doesn't care anymore.

Let's not forget that stack overflow is getting a huge increase in traffic because of the COVID-19 lockdown.
So, business is picking up for the executives.
and there are a lot of new contributors around
