Johnny was a chemist, but he isn’t anymore,
What he thought was H2O was H2SO4

@Zenix I'm not a native speaker of English either
@Mithoron I dunno
Monica's not the point, her incident was a last last last straw
None of the bosses of the original SO are in the company anymore, and the new people had only the understanding of new users on how SO works and what it's supposed to be.
Imagine everyone else on Chem.SE was stripped of their mod status and privileges, and one of the "number of moles" homework posters decided everything, including what's on-topic.
Shog, Robert, Jon, they'd been Community Managers for a long time and they were probably half of the people in the company who knew what the community stood for.
We have good reason to believe Shog and Robert were fired for voicing one of these concerns, with a disrespectful severance package

Q: Thank you, Shog9

Mithical@Shog9, a longtime Community Manager here at Stack Exchange, has just tweeted that he is no longer working at Stack Overflow: @shog9: Well... I suddenly find myself in need of work. If anyone's hiring: C++, JavaScript, C#, SQL + solid background in social software, community-driven developm...

Apparently, SE have come to their senses, a little bit. There has been a new hire as director of the whole Q&A thing, and she has posted on meta that, for once, "we're sorry"
And some dev even went ahead to prove Ms. Chipps' rather uninformed opinion that "the meta community of every site is only 0.015 % of its active users and we don't care about you" is . . . uninformed.

A: What data about meta has eluded Stack Exchange until recently?

Yaakov EllisOriginal Data Analysis In April 2019 there was an investigation performed that looked at the number of users who regularly post and vote on Meta Stack Overflow, and how answering on Stack Overflow predicted that participation. The results were that posting and voting on Meta is done by 200-300...

^ This guy is awesome, BTW.
Still, the gap is too deep, we need to see more action (some of what was promised in the featured Rebuilding meta post has been put to action, nothing that worthy of attention yet)
And some folks won't ever join a company where someone went ahead and publicly defamed Monica until the perpetrator of such an unprofessional action, Sara Chipps, is fired too.
That . . . is unlikely. And I'm not sure someone that has been leading an anti-meta crusade for the past whatever months that they have been here while putting up hypocritical banners of so-called inclusivity have changed their mind about how important folks that moderate the sites are.

@M.A.R. thanks for the insight, I really wish company (SE) takes some urgent measures, I seriously miss old SE, it was much better.... Now most of the answers go unanswered and clear lack of enthusiasm is seen in members of SE.. I hope they get brain soon

Q: Substructure search with RDKit

theozhI'm trying to search for substructures with RDKit. I would like to search for structure 1 as substructure in other structures. I don't understand why it doesn't find this structure in structures 3 and 5. I assume this is not a bug in RDKit, but more my limited chemistry understanding. Something w...
