Q: 400 - 430 degrees celsius heated bath

Francis L.I want to perform a reaction which needs temperature to be maintained between $\pu{400-430 ^{\circ}C}$. Since it's the only practical solution, I opted for a heated bath. I'm looking for a hydrocarbon fraction/blend with the boiling point in this range, however I keep finding conflicting informat...

Any advice on how to best edit questions that contain a link but link is not descriptive? I want users to be informed enough about what the link contains able to find an alternate resource in the event the link goes down.

Q: Can anyone explain the structure of H2XeO4?

KarthikUsing the obselete VSEPR theory I had a hard time predicting the structure of H2XeO4. So I looked it up. This was what I found. Its kind of wierd to me. I can't see how it happened. Can anyone explain using more sophisticated theories like MOT etc...? I don't know much MOT.

Would anyone be willing to format this answer? chemistry.stackexchange.com/a/115488/402
@pH13-YetanotherPhilipp Oh, I didn't see his answer, it must have been pushed down the bottom of the page. All I saw were the shorter answers with the fewer number of votes. That's what I get for reviewing things late at night.
Would anyone be willing to edit this title to be more descriptive?

Q: Surface chemistry

JR SUKESHWhy doesn't the process of chemisorption form multimolecular layers whereas he physisorption with lesser force of attraction between molecules form multimolecular layer?

Haha, that's me with my meta posts. Boredom.

Usually it's procrastination.

How dare you call me out on my impending deadlines. XD
I have to go to bed. I'm reading about dinglets and soublets instead of singlets and doublets. I think my eyes are crossed.

@MelanieShebel You'd dream you're falling off a pretty steep NMR cliff

can anyone confirm whether lead tetracetate cleaves trans viccinal diols?
i know that periodic acid cant cleave trans diaxial alcohols and that the mechanism of cleavage is basically the same so i wonder how does lead acetate achieve this?

Hexen? This game?

Hexenhammer. The game, oh well, it's been like 20 years I touched it last time.

Hammer on witches? o.O

Yep, helps to fight trolls too.

@andselisk But was my second thought

I read wheel of time lately

About things of the past, it's been nearly 2 years you posted your last answer; would you re-consider to start answering questions again at some point? I think I already checked all of your answers and those were pretty decent.
Shame I only played WoT the PC game, and haven't even finished it. I remember it looked like the first Unreal:)

The Wheel of Time is a first-person shooter-style video game developed by Legend Entertainment and based on Robert Jordan's fantasy series of the same name. It was released in 1999 by GT Interactive Software. == Gameplay == The game is based on the Unreal Engine, combining elements of first-person shooter games like Unreal with strategy/role-playing game elements. It can be played either in single-player or multiplayer modes, which determines the course of the game. The single-player gameplay variant is linear and centered on a fictional character named Elayna Sedai, the Keeper of the Chronicles...
Didn't know about it

Yep, that one.

There's supposed to be produced some TV series
@andselisk I'm tempted to do this superionic one (or maybe the old one) as the topic resurfaced

There isn't all that much q. that would pique my interest
Thought about making some Q&A or something, but my feelings about SE got rather ambiguous.

As for TV series, I lost interest in any sort of TV-related entertainment a while ago. The last series I actually enjoyed was House M.D. partially because I had a company to watch it with at that time. Even canonical Breaking Bad wasn't interesting to me and I barely finished it just because it kinda a series every chemist is supposed to know about.

Yeah, I also watched them, but didn't finsh BB :( I heard it got even better with time

Q&A is what this is all about:) I'm tempted to comment on feelings with the recent green frog meme, but would rather not considering my position, so take your time and I'll look forward to the new answers from you:)

Contrary to GoT ;(

I barely remember BB, for some reason this series left no impact on me. Probably I should find some time to read GoT (I haven't watched it, believe it or not), even though I'm more into sci-fi stuff.

10:19 PM
Don't tell me you didn't watch MCU films too?
Popularity of both of them is kinda annoying
And leads to heaps of bad questions on Sci-fi & fantasy...
@andselisk Eh, g'night

I watched (and actually liked) all 3 iron man movies, but the rest was awfully boring and I stopped following after the first Avengers. Now it's like two or three dozens of these movies, if I'm not mistaken. Who cares, really, it's CGI anyways, so I'd better waste my time playing some good old game instead, or watch any of the early Jackie Chan movies, where at least all stunts are real.
Night, see you around!
