@CowperKettle imo it would undergo a double displacement reaction forming CuO and ZnCl2. Now let's apply the good ole "strong acid --> weak acid". CuCl2 must've been formed from HCl and Cu(OH)2 and ZnCl2 must've been formed from HCl and Zn(OH)2. HCl is no more our suspect (it's common in both). Pulling up data of Ksp (solubility product) i can say that Zn(OH)2 is a better base than Cu(OH)2, which implies that ZnCl2 is a weaker acid. If my deductions are correct, the reaction should be feasible.
You number the chain so that the principal characteristic group gets the lowest number. The principal characteristic group is the group that is cited as a suffix (here "-al").
