Q: Find the change in enthalpy

Alex SI arrived at the incorrect answer and I'm not sure where I went wrong. "Find the change in enthalpy for the reaction of manganese (II) nitrate with sodium chloride." My equation was $$\ce{Mn(NO3)2 + 2NaCl -> MnCl2 + 2NaNo3}$$ Change in enthalpy for MnCl2 was -555, Mn(NO3)2 was -636, NaCl w...

Q: Some text is cut off answers in the tour due to MathJax formatting

Tim I would suggest the last line is removed, or the max-height expanded to 190px. This would allow the gradient to take effect.

Jess L.Set up an electrochemical cell where the cathode is the system in question B ($\ce{Fe^2+}=>\ce{Fe^3+}E=0.68V)$ , wheras the anode is a saturated calomel electrode(0.244V relative to standard hydrogen electrode.) I would like to mark it as HW....

But yes, I agree with @IͶΔ.....

Q: Why is there only one nodal plane in σ* molecular orbitals for homodiatomic molecules?

Petrichorr I know that there's one nodal plane exactly inbetween the σ* MO however why is there not three nodal planes in total? As the picture shows three areas of zero electron density, is this something to do with the sign change of the MO?

What should we do with this: chemistry.stackexchange.com/q/49077/7951 ?
The OP did show some effort. It is placed in an attempt to answer his/her own question.

@Loong I've seen on meta.SO that what's being expected to be in the question shouldn't be in the form of a self-answer.
It's not a useful question for future visitors.
> Name these.
> These are foo, bar and baz.
If the content of the self-answer could've been edited meaningfully into the question, I would've done so and reopened it.
But anyhow, it's case closed. Literally.
There is no need for further answers.

Eh, the answer is incomplete.
It hasn't named baz @Loong, and as usual I don't pay attention.

@Martin-マーチン I did not check what the complete correct answer would be in this case.
The question came in too late yesterday.

well... he names two of them and says he is unsure about the last...
I commented, let's see how that works out...
@Loong halp... how do i migrate?
if there is no close link...

@Martin-マーチン OK. When I find the time, I will look up the correct names.

Haha this is gotta be fun to watch.

@Martin-マーチン reopen -> close as off-topic -> other site

Here are the useful commands I provide : (don't add the brackets)
* img/[molecule's name] -> I will try and upload an image corresponding to your molecule. You can give its name, formula, SMILES, or any common identifier. When using complex InChI, use img/InChI=1/[molecule's InChI]
* help -> displays this message
* wiki/[article] -> returns a link to wikiedia's page n <article> if I can find it
