@Martin I'm afraid there isn't, maybe you could use wine or try to ask a question in the mailing list...

@GM Running it under wine would in my case mean os-ception: ((wine in *NIX) in VirtualBox in Win7).
I do that occasionally with chemcraft, but it sucks the life out of the machine. Also I was looking for something that could also be run on the cluster (like molden, or avo itself) I might consider the mail option.
Also I occasionally run xp inside win7 O.o

woohoo! We're submitting another paper today! :D
*I'm
I like to say *we. It denotes teamwork and/or collaboration. That is what science is.
Ahh, the majestic plural
Anyway, congratulations LordStryker
@NicolauSakerNeto majestic plural?
The royal "we" or majestic plural (pluralis maiestatis in Latin, literally, "the plural of majesty"), is the use of a plural pronoun to refer to a single person holding a high office, such as a monarch, bishop, or pope. The more general word for the use of we to refer to oneself is nosism. However the use as majestic plural (to denote the excellence, power, and dignity of the person who speaks or writes) is the most common one. Speakers employing the royal we refers to themselves using a grammatical number other than the singular (i.e., in plural or dual form). For example, the Basic L...
At least that's what I think it's called
But the idea is that you can find plenty of articles with single authors who refer to themselves as "we"
It's a very formal sciency thing
@NicolauSakerNeto Well, just because there is only one author doesn't mean that other people weren't involved?
13:09
Not that first-person should be used to begin with...
I dunno myself, it's certainly unusual, but I wouldn't know about wrong
But imagine an oral presentation... "We built the experiment around...". Could always claim to have an imaginary friend helping ya.
I have a fish at home. She always contributes. :P
Haha
Pets help keep people sane
And scientists need what little sanity they can muster

She drives me crazy sometimes too.
I need a cat, myself
13:12
I love cats.
The internet has brainwashed me with cute pictures
2
I love dogs.
Well, either can be a big PitB.
Dogs are fine too
I've had cats before (by proxy)
All I've had were some small caged birds, poor things
13:13
Amazingly cute but can be utterly hair-pullingly rage-inducing crazy sometimes.
Gotta get one of those chill cats.
2
Edible kitties?
Oh, sorry, I merely glanced at the screen and somehow read chilli
That was a weird freudian slip
13:15
You just made my morning.
Convenient timing then! I'm just about to leave
You get all my golden stars.
Have a good one @NicolauSakerNeto
I feel like an overachiever
Thanks man, see you later

Q: Is the [chemistry-olympiad] tag necessary?

DannnnoThree questions were recently asked regarding the chemistry olympiad. While this is where the questions are coming from is the tag really necessary? If not, should I edit out these tags or is there something that moderators would do with this instead? I would argue that these tags are not neces...
