@orthocresol/@Loong (whoever declined my last flag) I was looking for an answer to my question in all seriousness. Feel free to decline, but at least answer it as well. I only decided to flag after having been waiting for a week now.

This is so weird. I need to read deeper to understand how chemical encryption works

A: Hidden points of editing you probably didn't know

Gaurang TandonUse HTML entities to insert Greek symbols Want to insert that fancy Greek symbol into your post just once? Like π-orbitals or α-carbon. Then you needn't use MathJax for that! The SE Markdown supports HTML entities - a character sequence of the form &[code]; - which can be used to insert all sor...

Q: I want the answer of this question

Aman Singh A compound is formed by elements A and B. This crystallises in the cubic structure where the A atoms are at the corner of the cube and B atoms are at the body centres. The simplest formula formula for the compound is

At least he did the OCR as well ;P

@GaurangTandon The book doesn't mention the nitroso group in the order but since it has very weak $\ce{+M}$ we should expect it to be after $-ce{CH2Cl}$ — Abcd Apr 18 at 6:39
@GaurangTandon You had commented a valid question. Why did you delete it?
Now it looks like I am talking to myself -_-

Huh? I don't honestly remember deleting that comment :/
Best way to clear it up now is to move the information you gave me in the comments into your own post, and flag all remaining three comments for deletion

ok
@GaurangTandon let the comma comment be there
Please accept the answer if your query has been resolved. — Abcd 10 secs ago
@GaurangTandon Is it okay to comment this thing?

@Abcd no, move it into the post as well
@Abcd yeah, it's fine. Though, a better line would be: "If my answer helped, please accept it. If it did not, let me know why. Thanks"

@GaurangTandon Let me edit my comment then

Q: Why are fluoride ions (and ions in general) reactive?

Useless IslandPlease bear with me—-I have a pretty meager background in chemistry but am trying to learn some! My question is about ion reactivity—-specifically of the reactivity of $\ce{F-}$. I often hear that the main reason the “weak” acid $\ce{HF}$ is so dangerous is because of the fluoride ion rather t...

this seems to be actually quite a well-written question for a new user's first question

That's because it's my sockpuppet

your writing style is different, it's surely not your sock

Why would I keep the writing style same
Don't want the police crackdown
Anyway it's not my sockpuppet
Just in case I get banned

Too late, I flagged it for moderator attention :P

A: Difference between equivalent conductance and equivalent conductivity

Vic LinealConductance and conductivity are distinct, although related, magnitudes. Conductance, $G$, is a measure of the total electric current, $I$, that can pass through a conducting element (such as a wire, a space through which a charged beam flows, or an electrolytic solution) when a given voltage, $...

Could we please have a policy on how to get old VLQ answers deleted? They are old, abandoned, and don't really serve any purpose by sitting there greyed out with a negative score. Two of my past VLQ flags got accepted, but the most recent got declined with a stock comment. The answers were similar though. Any mod please enlighten me. Thank you
(FYI, the VLQ flag is unavailable on old answers. That's why I have to use the custom mod msg)

you should let them old answer be where they are and care about the new ;)

Ofc, but I only flag them when the corresponding question gets bumped to the front page, and if I happen to scroll down to the bottom :-)

all the old questions I see are bumped by you ;D

Well, that used to be the case earlier past month, but not any more. At least not all of them :P

\o/ didn't say that

Fine alright :)
