Are there no canonical posts on commonly asked questions? Like answered by people who have written hundreds of answers?

Like in a meta page that has links to all these common questions ...

Or as I call them "duplicates".

(Questions that a very similar, but may be different in some way that invalidates the accepted answer, or the highly upvoted answer).

If a company sends you a hacker rank coding challenge that only allows C++ and JavaScript, is it okay to ask them to enable C# for the coding challenge if you don't know C++ and don't know JavaScript well enough?

@motosubatsu Yes, the hacker rank challenge uses C++ mostly, and then JavaScript.

@starboy tbh you can ask but I think it's going to be a pretty big negative for you, the job is a C++ IIRC so you're basically telling them you can't use the language(s) they're actually hiring for

@starboy it might be worth having a conversation with them - even if it's along the lines of "I don't know C++ / JS but have excellent C# skills and feel I could cross-train quickly", after all nothing ventured - nothing gained and all that

I am doing some part time work as a RA, and I am really getting impatient and annoyed with some of the things I am having to work on. Even though my duty now is simple - create transcriptions of these interviews - I am finding it hard to listen to some of these things. And I don't know how to handle myself.

Some people have legitimate problems, but some are just downright blaming everyone else they can ...
