Q: Should I focus on and try to sell my GPA or my Portfolio?

When applying to a company should I "sell" my GPA more or my portfolio? How would you differ from each company to the next from a general aspect of wanting to be hired and be able to show that you want to work actively in the company (and not just work for pay?)
