That would be awesome. It will likely mean that it will be mid-January before I get actually hired on. I will probably be halfway through our meager savings by then. The thing that really chaps me is, we only JUST got back in the black after incurring a heavy mortgage debt the last time the layoff monster came around.

I think the story is really good, the start is just very slow. It takes until like chapter 4 or so for the story to get more interesting.

Overwatch winter event started so I've been playing that, the few hours I've had time. I am in the process of applying for a new job while my current interim manager is trying to find new projects for me and I'm still on project working fulltime so it's been a joy.

I'm getting my offer friday at 2, and then I have christmas dinner at 6 with the current company. I wasn't feeling like going anyway but if the offer is good it'll be even worse lol.

Well this is the tropics. And it is very dependent on altitude. At the summit of Mauna Kea it is below freezing most of the year.

The cool part about that is, that it is only 28 km from the nearest shore and 4200 meters high.

Not many places on earth with that kind of elevation difference so close to the ocean

Well. A company I have been trying to get into for 3 years now but always had no open spots or just said no to me contacted me. So I will have my 3rd interview there tomorrow and salary offer on friday.

Meanwhile I had an interview through social slaughterhouse yesterday and they're trying to get me on a new project + I will have christmas dinner party with them on friday, after I've received the offer from the 'dream job'.

So fun, awkward times.

Nowadays it seems like a lot of euphamisms are thrown about when it comes to hiring, firing and laying off.
