is it ok to reply to a salary increment mail with - I am not satisfied, would like to discuss.
Context- Accepted their offer to stay after resignation (CTO wanted to discuss a few things during this time, but the meeting was cancelled). Manager told me they will match whatever other company is offering. I accepted but told them it should be higher than that. Now I get the salary increment mail from HR, its just the match amount. CTO replies, Thanks for staying back. Now how should I phrase the mail for rise they promised and maybe have that cancelled meeting if they want?

@user1502 Seems like they gave you exactly what they promised "match whatever other company is offering", right? From what you write it doesn't seem like they agreed to give you any more?

@user1502 Ok. So agreeing to "discuss that" is what was promised. Doesn't sound like there was an agreement actually to give you any more than just a match. Find a time to discuss it.

@user1502 You should have been clearer. If you're still negotiating you don't ever say anything that could be interpreted as acceptance. By definition the negotiation is over once you accept.
The only thing you can really do now is try to get that meeting with the CTO; and see this as a lesson that you should never accept a counter-offer.

need some help with a tricky interview scheduling situation---
I got a follow-up to a video interview where the recruiter asked me to schedule a telphonic interview next. The exact words she used were - "I would like to schedule a technical phone interview for you with one of our engineers in the next few weeks. " As I have some school deadlines in the next few days, and could also use some time to prepare for the interview, I gave my dates 3 weeks from now - 23rd Nov, 24th Nov and 19th Nov. Was that a mistake since it's somewhat far(3 weeks) away? I responded yesterday with the dates and h…
Although I did mention in the e-mail - "Please let me know if the dates are appropriate". Nevertheless, should I send a follow-up e-mail saying something like - I am open to earlier dates as well if the current dates are too far off. Or does that make me sound desperate?

@Manish I think you deleted a comment I was replying to. I've deleted my comment and will copy it here as it doesn't make much sense on its own:
It's difficult to say since I obviously can't judge your situation as well as you can. I would say that as long as you word your follow-up email well it makes sense to send it. As I said, students are expected to make mistakes in these kinds of workplace interactions since they lack the experience.
Your original mail was already polite, a follow up mail could show that you're also quick to pick up on workplace norms and are doing your best to adhere to them even if you're unfamiliar with them. I'd recommend that you also ask that specific question in chat to see what others think
