Q: Should I Quit After Only 5 Months

HarrietteI have been working at my current job for 5 months. Previous to this job, I was a teacher. My current job description was for an educator who would reach out and collaborate with teachers in order to help support their science instruction. Since my background is in science, this seemed like a gre...

Q: Is there any way to appear sociable at a work social event without drinking?

CaptainCodemanI generally steer clear of sugary junk food such as beer, fruit juices, etc. I'm not really a fan of drinking alcohol either, as I like my sleep. So when I go out with a bunch of work colleagues and they offer to buy me a drink, I ask for water. Which is quite awkward to be honest, as it feels...

I have voted to re-open. @Dan - Think about the last time your workplace had a seminar on sexual harassment or workplace bullying. My guess is it was probably an hour long and had lots of information intended to teach not just tell. I'd be very surprised if someone just walked into the room and said "Don't do X. That is all. Good day." Can you or someone else perhaps add a bit more to this so we also do the same? Hope this helps clarify. (As an aside, some of the info from the comments could possibly help, if you or someone else wanted to edit.) — jmort253 ♦ 32 secs ago
The asker mentioned we can edit.... if anyone sees anything valuable in the comments that could help, feel free to edit! :)
