@Serum Hey Serum, it rather depends on what your ambition is. The topics you mention are more low-level hardware/infra topics to me. I don't like to deal with OS-level caching or socket headaches when I'm integrating applications. That's for the network team to handle. I want the protocols I'm using (SOAP, JSON, etc.) to handle all that mess for me.

What you need to learn will depend on the role you're after and you'll get better input on that topic once you know which area you'd like to develop and you ask it in the right place. There are a lot of IT people here but dedicated stacks may be a better fit. Specialist forums will also provide a better source of info I believe.

That's all assuming you're following a self-taught path of course. If you're following formal education somewhere they'll have resources that can help you.

God, this site has ruined me. :) There's a program "EasyResume" running on my PC and I went "Why would Lenovo be helping me out with writing my resume?". Then I realised it's probably talking about resuming from sleep.... :D
