@Old_Lamplighter starving isn't the issue here. But desperate people will sell anything. The only asset most have is land, and it's owned collectively, so it gets messy very quick. One family member who may never have visited sells it, then the others have to try and get it back, and judgement can go any which way. Seen families kicked off land they've been on for 100 years.
