So there are three desks at my workplace, for three developers.
The problem is, right now, we have them arranged like so:

and there's another guy sitting in position B.
We now and then stretch our legs about a hundred times a day, ...
MM was well known to the sites community managers, they wouldn't (and didn't) do that lightly. I'm not going to go into details, but it wasn't a quick or light decision.
@Kilisi Not much, but he's not that kind of guy. If he wants to say stuff, he'll say it as himself without hiding it. I suspect that he's reading though.
@Summer yeah saw that one earlier.. the OP has every right not to go on said trip.. and I have to say I'd hate such a trip for many of the same reasons they do. Trying to torpedo it for everyone else though would be a one-way ticket to becoming the most hated person in the office
The sleeping over is not mandatory but at least it will be a hotel and not like actually sleeping in the office or anything so I'm just staying over. But will see this as my excuse to not go to any other shit until at least the end of january lol.
of course I outrageously cheated since it's my company and between us me and my employee just picked something that we'd blatantly have done for fun anyway and I paid for it out of the business
I feel like this company means well but it's just not my kind of people. With my previous company we'd often go out to see a movie and you could stick around for a beer but no pressure. Or we'd go to dinner and that's that. Plus most events were during work hours or at least half/half.
I'm sure if he said he wanted a private room they'd accommodated to that.
I have a feeling at which company he works seeing as he's mentioned some specifics and I doubt they'd have any trouble with that. I also doubt they really don't have the funds for desks etc.
Tbf if he's truly in a manager's position as he claims I don't think he should have any trouble arranging a new desk or even a junior to support him. Unless he rains on people's parades like this more often, then I understand people are getting a bit sick of it :p
I started with html/css at the age of 7, I really wish someone would have tutored me then to teach me more. I'm only average at php and can do some jquery but that's pretty much where it stops for me now.
I've got an employee who does all my admin - mainly because I'm hopeless at it and I'm often out the house for ~12 hours a day for work so by the time I get home I really can't be arsed to spend more time mucking about doing "work"
Ouch! had to turn my music off and the volumn to max to listen to that frozen song, forgot about it when I turned it back to my music and tried to blow my ears off my head.... <pain />
Oh? I subscribed when I was in Canada last year, and been freely using it since? (In UK), guessing a VPN wouldn't work for you, they block all commercial IP's I've found.
@Snow I rebut your assertion with the fact that you've confessed to watching the F&F movies, nary a bullet-spitting robot in sight (although they've got two films to go so I'm not going to rule it out)
I have an expensive separates system up in the loft. I think there's probably mice nesting in it by now. Rotel, Nakamichi. Prime stuff back in the day.
@Snow Meridian have certainly made some speakers that qualify as "butt ugly".. but wouldn't meet the "German" suggestion as they are british. I was wondering if it might be Burmester but I must admit their stuff is usually fairly inoffensive visually
One time I had an 'accident' with the vacuum. The floor was slippery, I fell and hurt myself. The wall directly next to one of the speakers was damaged too however so the first question was 'IS THE SPEAKER OK???'
Dammit.. the jig is up! I knew some clever so and so would eventually cotton on to the fact that dev managers just assign tasks based purely on their own fragile egos and not to do with business needs.

@MikeQ Sorry. That's not possible (see feature request). There's a workaround, which is a nasty 18 step process and I'm not comfortable with potentially trashing people's comments.
