I dunno if this is the right place, but the last question in the chat FAQ (that says "But I have a question about...") implies that I can ask questions about chat, not just report problems.
So, my question is: is it an appropriate use of chat to start a ServerFault-linked chat room to discuss an idea I had with other SF-ers?
It likely wouldn't be a very long-lived room, and I don't think everyone who participates in the main SF chat would be interested, and even if many of them were interested, I think it'd be better to keep it from taking over the main chat for a while.
OTOH, just in the course of thinking about creating such a room, I'm wondering if there'd be any interest and maybe I will just bring it up in The Comms Room
Still, the question stands: can I create a chat room that's intended to be short-lived for a focussed discussion of something I think other ServerFault-chat-users would be interested in.
