@AliceRees Go to the Options tab of your FTB launcher and look for "Install folder..." That'll always tell you where FTB is putting the installed stuff.

The only thing in the %appdata% is some images and things for the actual launcher.

This crash seems to be caused by poor programming on behalf of... some mysterious author (the exception came from a Minecraft class, which are obfuscated.)
