1:22 AM
@TimPost sorry, had visitors come by sooner than expected so couldn't finish =[

2:17 AM
@JeffreyLin I believe it was an issue with the templates being named incorrectly, but given that so many chunks by spawn have been loaded, and its usefulness being very early-game, not really seeing a reason to put it back in

2:34 AM
@KevinvanderVelden uh wel technically it wasnt me. But it happened through my account by someone who wanted to annoy @KevinvanderVelden a little bit because kevin wouldnt give him a nuke.

@Vandammetje I'm not sure that how that would annoy him though.

Using >all< his resources of course.

@Vandammetje Meh, Infinity - X = Infinity.

I know, it was like stealing one of @JeffreyLins two chickens and ignoring the other 2k chickens underneat his base. But he didnt know that.

12 hours later…

2:58 PM
@Vandammetje Technically, they were never underneath my base.

user43095
And maybe that's why cake production has slowed significantly.

4:25 PM
What can I melt down for victus?

@TimPost iirc, one of the aspects of carrots breaks down into victus
potentially apples, but I'm not sure about that one

5:01 PM
Yeah. carrots get it :)
I think tomorrow's lunch break is going to be spent expanding my alchemy system
What I have is pretty decent, it's just a little slow, and quite manual

5:22 PM
Welp, I'll leave that to work. 'nite all.

6:08 PM
PSA: Upgrade your capacitor banks for more fun.

7:10 PM
I wonder.. is there any way to make Minecraft process the event/tick queue in multiple threads or something so that you can have two machines running at once?

user43095
That might require a large rewrite, although I don't know Java and wouldn't be able to accurately tell you.

7:29 PM
Well in Java it's quite easy to do multi threading
Doesn't always make it faster but it theoretically works
And as for rewrite, Minecraft has some kind of queue system for the processing
The point where stuff gets pulled out of queue is what would need to work with multiple threads
Just wondering if it already is implemented or not

user43095
7:55 PM
Ooh also about the userscript thing: similar to the way they do gradients, can I have one picture at the very top, one picture at the bottom, and a color in between?

8:51 PM
@JeffreyLin You kinda can but not totally
You can have an image and a color behind it by setting background-color and background-image
But you can't have multiple background images

@Ieuan no, that would require a complete rewrite of minecraft and all the mods
Also, no it does not have such a queue system for processing
Excepting maybe chunk gen

@KevinvanderVelden Pretty sure if LexManos wasn't a lazy fuck it would be totally possible in just Forge since it's not a lot that'd need to be changed
Most event handling is done through Forge, mods just hook into that

@Ieuan except everything needs to be made threadsafe

@KevinvanderVelden Yeah that is true

If there was no way to communicate between dimensions it would be trivial to multithread each dimension
But several mods add that so that's not even possible

user43095
9:12 PM
@Ieuan Hmm. Too bad.

@JeffreyLin You can use :before and :after but you'd need to ask @KevinvanderVelden to help you with that
Cuz I'm a lazy fuck

user43095
I wanted the top one like this and the bottom one like this

user43095
And some solid color in between. Probably black.

9:54 PM
That would look super weird though
Can you make a mockup in Paint?

user43095
10:08 PM
It would look kinda weird, wouldn't it

user43095
Mostly because chat is taller than it is wide.

user43095
10:58 PM
Something utterly terrifying has happened in the Nether

What have you done
Why have you done it

user43095
It's made out of snow

user43095
and ice

user43095
and obsidian

user43095
And there's blue fire everywhere.

user43095
11:01 PM
And there's no more lava because it's all obsidian.

user43095

user43095
Should I be scared?

Blizz?

user43095
Might be magic.

user43095
Also something keeps messing with my inventory.
