@inɒzɘmɒЯ.A.M Is that a latex source? Do you want to have some comments on that?
@inɒzɘmɒЯ.A.M How do you compile that?
Ahhh scratch that... you used xelatex....
Haha... that looks so funny, as I dont have the fonts that are required...
07:14
@Martin-マーチン Yeah, it's XeLaTeX alright.
@inɒzɘmɒЯ.A.M Why do you use $$ ... $$ in your document?
looks better?
It's plain tex... comes with a lot of problems
@inɒzɘmɒЯ.A.M Why don't you talk to me?
@inɒzɘmɒЯ.A.M!!!
@inɒzɘmɒЯ.A.M????
@Martin-マーチン you need more of this
Yes probably
@inɒzɘmɒЯ.A.M ಠ_ಠ
@inɒzɘmɒЯ.A.M ლ(ಠ_ಠლ)
@inɒzɘmɒЯ.A.M :'(
07:35
I WAS EATING BREAKFAST SHEESH.
@Martin-マーチン It's homework. It needz math mode.
@inɒzɘmɒЯ.A.M Why are you not using ctan.org/pkg/amsmath?
Kpfonts loads amsmath.
It also loads amsfonts.
Then you should use \begin{align}...\end{align} instead
Hey, at least I read documentations.
or one of the derivatives
07:40
@Martin-マーチン I know aligns are a necessity, but these just, couldn't be aligned.
They were scattered formulas all around.
And don't use \rm that's tex syntax too with many unwanted sideeffects
@Martin-マーチン Like?
(I was in a hurry, \mathrm was too much to type for me)
It completely overwrites any style you have
@inɒzɘmɒЯ.A.M you're the scat(tered)man ʅ(◔౪◔ʅ)三(ʃ◔౪◔)ʃ
I have a plea not to touch any youtube links.
07:43
@inɒzɘmɒЯ.A.M use \begin{equation}...\end{equation} then
I SAID I WAS IN A HURRY.
(╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻
I LIKE YOUR RAGE MODE ٩(◕ั ∀◕ั๑٩)
Typing all that, when TeXmaker breaks a line, doesn't work in a hurry.
Well, well, well.... shortcuts are the way to doom....
07:48
I mean, look at all those curly signs ... stenography or sth like that ... no one can identify it
Now you're talking my language @Mart.
@PH13 I didn't have time to give bling to my code.
How idiotic is 8 dollar signs in a single line?
But it's not so idiotic when you have thirty minutes to your class which is thirty minutes away.
the more $ the more ᕙ(⇀‸↼‶)ᕗ ?
Not really.
It was a shortcut to make line breaks.
And just look at that; the arrows are inconsistent. I used \leadsto, \Rightarrow, \Longrightarrow, \longrightarrow etc.
you can use `\\` for linebreaks
And @Mart I used {\it } to overwrite {\rm }.
@Martin-マーチン Its spacing was unfavorable.
07:55
AaAAAAAAaaaaaaAAAaaaaAAAaaAAAaaAAAaaa why would you tell me such evil things?
To reason why and how messy my code is.
I have to cry now
Please do!
@inɒzɘmɒЯ.A.M you feel ᕙ(⇀‸↼‶)ᕗ when others ༼ ಥ﹏لಥ ༽ ... eh? ಠ_ಠ
08:04
(☉ε ⊙ノ)ノ
(´◣д◢`+)
08:50
@Mart does MathJax support \verb?
no
what would you need that for?
Verbatim. Codez that is.
SE has already an environment for code...
why would you need that in MathJax?
Thought maybe backticks won't work inside an array, let's find out.
08:53
(´◣д◢`+)
What do you want to do anyway?
My answer in sandbox. Without it, sandbox feels depressed.
Feels kinda hard to cover something you guys haven't.
But I found an idea to make a big table. BIG I say.
Correction.... it works: $$\mathtt{\text{xyz abc \\}} \verb|{xyz abc \\}|$$
09:09
Awesome. Don't need it anymore.
Whoa look who's here!
ಠ_ಠ
:'(
@inɒzɘmɒЯ.A.M So you can use \verb|{xyz abc \\}|
okay... learned something new though...
@Martin-マーチン It only needs to be a char of LaTeX code 12. \verb+Haha+ works too.
@Martin-マーチン Mission accomplished.
goood ( ¬ ‿ ¬)
Easily. ಠ_ಠ

11:02
I posted my answer in the sandbox @Mart.
Of course I'll expand it to be bigger, faster, stronger, braver . . .
But not now. Meh.
ಠ_ಠ
Did you see it?
yes
so much colour...
too much colour for me...
makes me feel like i am on drugs
@inɒzɘmɒЯ.A.M try white{-}ish gray
11:33
@PH13 for what?
because now the hyphen is a minus and then it will be a hyphen
How am I supposed to find that in
> \begin{array}{|c:c|c:c|c:c|} \hline
\#000000 & {\rm \small \color{#000000}{Black}} &
\#000000 & {\rm \small \color{#000000}{Black}}

\#440000 & {\rm \small \color{#440000}{Darker~red}}
& \#004400 & {\rm \small \color{#004400}{Darker~green}}\\\hline
Oh, nevermind just found it.
looks like you found it
looks better
Whatevs.
Hmm, what else can you do in MathJax @Mart?
You can't do p{width} ლ(ಠ益ಠლ) ̿ ̿'̿'\̵͇̿̿\з=(•_•)=ε/̵͇̿̿/'̿'̿ ̿
11:44
Documentations strike again . . .
> THIS IS A BIG PAGE.
I should take a nap, prolly.

Q: A long MathJax equation in a comment will make all comments overflow

RunemoroIf you look at the answer of this question, you'll notice that the comments are overflowing: I'm guessing that this is because of the long number in the MathJax equation in the last comment, because when I delete it using Chrome's developer tools, it goes back to the normal size. This is simil...

16:25
Yellow @Dam!
Green!
\mathbb is blackboard math, that is: $\mathbb{HAHA}$
By the way, I can talk only slowly because my fingers are busy with chocolate. :P
It only works with capitals though.
Ahh... ChatJax are tab specific.
16:26
@DamkerngT. I empathize. Happens to me when I'm eating ice cream.
:D
Let's see...
> $\mathit{Hello,~world!}$
> $\mathbf{Hello,~world!}$
Yes, that's italic.
> $\mathfrak{Hello,~world!}$
> $\mathtt{Hello,~world!}$
The standard $\rm\TeX$ command for italic and bold are {\rm } and {it }
> $\mathcal{Hello,~world!}$
16:28
@DamkerngT. Truetype: tt.
@DamkerngT. \mathcal not \mathcalc
Got it!
Oh wait. $\mathsf{Serif~font!}$
\mathsf?
Thanks! \mathtt looks like a monospace font.
16:31
\mathfrak is traditional font. But kpfonts makes it more readable. Unfortunately, I've recently grown in love with it and mathjax doesn't load kpfonts.
It looks like a font that goes well with Old English.
I still don't really know how ChatJax works though.
For example, where does ChatJax pull all those fonts from?
Like, how you don't?
@DamkerngT. I think chatjax is a code that only makes mathjax.js or something like that run.
I mean, being a JavaScript, it's supposed to run on my PC, but my PC doesn't have all those fonts and symbols, I think.
@Martin could provide the real mechanism, but he could be asleep, since he lives in Japan.
BTW, at the moment, I have 1 window, 8 tabs. :D
16:35
That's refreshing!
@inɒzɘmɒЯ.A.M I see. Maybe later.
I see now why you aren't complaining about slow browser.
@inɒzɘmɒЯ.A.M Yup! I killed my Firefox and did not restore the session (but all the tabs in the old session are still there, in one tab). ;-)
@DamkerngT. I believe it's like letting go and diving in the ocean, right?
A bit. :D
It definitely runs much faster!
And apparently, I seem to produce less typos than usual.
Like, the errors are now really mine, not because of the browser being sluggish or something.
16:38
So it makes you run faster too.
I guess you could say so! :D
I know that feeling; now you'll never want to have that many tabs anymore, unless for Guinness record purposes.
Hee
But I guess I will restore the whole old session soon. Probably tomorrow.
Then again, FF at 8 tabs is really fast!

I wrote a new answer that you'd hate @PH13 ಠ_ಠ
let's see
teh poison stuff?
Not a poison really.
cute
look, you're answer is comprehensive
if there are things that you didn't upvote from me @inɒzɘmɒЯ.A.M ... plz do 1 more
17:19
hail @inɒzɘmɒЯ.A.M
praise the lord of coins reps
thank you very much
now editing will go wild }:->
First, my cute upvote. BWAHHAHAHAHA
17:34
you are so HALPful
@DamkerngT. MathJax pulls fonts and symbols from whatever is installed on your computer. You can probably configure that somewhere in your local settings.
