"abandoned" doesn't have a definitive time limit. If your car dies and you just leave it on the side of the road with no intention of ever retrieving it that makes it abandoned, even if you just walked away 5 minutes ago.
If nobody cares about a question anymore (the OP has no further interest in getting/testing an answer, and it has no answers) that question is abandoned: It's been left on the side of the road with no intention to return to it.
