A: Can beta mods suggest questions to be advertised cross-network?

LauraI'm not sure whether there will be a way for mods to formally suggest questions for the house ads (as you stated in your question, they're chosen algorithmically, and new features are determined by our dev team), but I created a Google Form you can use if you'd like to submit questions to be shar...

Thanks to @laura, a chaos person :)
Oh, @Rory, my post is going to be scheduled soonish I hope on SU, want to do a companion post on sec.se?

@Ninefingers Perhaps this should be tied into the network ads that show up on other sites too. Surely the mods have a better idea which questions would highlight their site than the team

@IvoFlipse Maybe they'll go that way? Or do a community promoted questions question, like they do with open source ads?
Y'know, for quite a while I didn't get what 2H 2012 meant. Second half. Doh.
I guess it depends on meta participation.

@Ninefingers Had troubles with time - there just hasn't been enough of it... I would like to say yes, but am not sure of what I can commit to - some hectic times at work...

are URL blacklists per site or network-wide?

Per site
Meta has exactly one blacklisted string.

A: Report high-Google-ranking SE content copiers here

Yi Jiang's Proble_I just searched for thingadongdong And to my shock and horror, a scraped version of this question from efreedom.com appeared as the top result, not the famous Meta question, which appeared second. Somethingadongdong must be dong about this! Now!

I don't know why it had to be blacklisted.

@RoryAlsop No probs. I have this problem frequently. We can always do it later - I might even ask a question on sec.se if I can't find one...

@MichaelMyers that would seem to imply the clone had been spamming meta directly which seems a tad odd
