@FaheemMitha That is simply not true. A pendrive is usually seen as a hard drive.
@FaheemMitha That is nothing you need to worry about. Assume that the computer could run the version of linux for which there is an ISO placed on the pendrive. Further assume that all that is needed is a temporal "live" version of the OS, or just to load and start an OS "installer". In short, leave the problems of what an ISO does to the actual ISO.
@FaheemMitha Yes, but not meant to be done while running an OS from the pen-drive. But when a pendrive is needed as an actual pen-drive: to store some data (files) in a running system.
@FaheemMitha So, the pen-drive could be dual purpose: To boot and to store some (a few) files.
I have a little question if I may... I do use SE sites as a note journal where most of the time i write self answered QA in form of articles and sometime my QA kind a get a little broad/non-focused, while the answer do answer the question like this last one unix.stackexchange.com/questions/593570/…
I started by writing a focused version and noticed I can easily extend the info to other systems... so i did, but on the other hand the question get broad/not-focused... do you have any advice on this?
(it's just to avoid closure of the question and to respect the site rules)
Installing a VNC Server
On Linux (on a classic machine or a screen less server) there are multiple (opensource) possibility for a VNC server such as TightVNC, TigerVNC and TurboVNC (this is a non exhaustive list, this guide will be using native TigerVNC):
TigerVNC Server: using native or Java co...
I just want to comply with the site rules... my previous QA unix.stackexchange.com/questions/596894/… get a lot of attention and lot of viewer complained about it being too broad... so I am trying to fix that / comply with the rules
I guess I'll leave it general and see what happen, and may be update/change the question if it does not please
@intika You could possibly include information specific to particular VNCs in a separate section, but that sort of thing dates quite badly. Bear in mind that SE is supposed to be generally useful.
@FaheemMitha I might adjust this guidance slightly; SE does intend to be a respository of Q's and A's. The Q's should be answerable. A narrower Question with a broader Answer is probably the best of all words. (cc @intika)
Yeah, I wouldn't think it's either of those. And gnome saves screenshots in ~/Pictures, I thought you were busy with that again
@FaheemMitha for me, yes. I don't know any JS. I could only check that there's a big red error that says "ERROR TypeError: can't access property "SchemeDetails", e is null"
also "Source map error: Error: JSON.parse: unexpected character at line 1 column 1 of the JSON data Resource URL: https://mutualfund.adityabirlacapital.com/portal/investor/assets/js/bootstrap.min.js"
