I have a test.php file in webserver directory with php phpinfo(); content. when I try to execute #php test.php then it executes correctly. But when I try to open in web browser then it shows php phpinfo(); . How cab I troubleshoot apache2 and php5 in Unix machine??

I want the string in $opts appended to the command. I use bash -x test.sh to check the expansion and see that the the single-quotes are removed.
If I change it to:
opts="-x \'\'"
After expansion, there are 4 single-quotes.
