Q: Should we have a canonical question for "How to make built-in software from device X work on device Y"?

Tamoghna ChowdhuryNow and then I have seen people try to do absurd things like "try to make the system music app from a Galaxy S4 work on a Nexus 5". Also, there may be other examples. @LinX64 I sure missed your formatting style in answers. :D
Hey @Andrew, if you're seeing this, please consider advising a bit. I saw some answer of yours and one thing caught my eye specifically. When you mention a software in your answer, specially if the answer is more or less dependent on that software, you do mention that you're not affiliated to that. Is there a specific reason you always do that? May be some meta wisdom I'm yet to be acquainted with.
I understand those new comers should mention the affiliation and it is fine if they are questioned for their affiliation. But then reflecting on my own answers, I wonder, should I also be mentioning that note in my own answers? In fact, ideally, should anyone be doing so?

Hi @Firelord. Turns out I have 7 answers with disclosure/disclaimer. Actually there's no specific meta post which I follow, other than not-to-be-spammer on help page (which actually might not applied to me, since they're not my apps). However, I have seen quite cases with spammer, and they're punished heavily. That's why I prefer to be over-defensive than be accused of spammer.
I think there's a thing called 'trust', which is usually based on reputation. In fact, I seldom question the disclosure if I see the answer is good enough already.
