@Arielle just stumbled upon an issue similar to yours: sdcard appears empty for sshdroid, samba fileshare etc, but not for total commander. As Grief (the OP) seemed to be able to fix that, maybe you can check with him/her for details (the answer is not quite clear to me, so you might need to ping for details).
15:10
@Firelord in case the downvote here was yours, you might chose to retract it; answer was updated with details.
@Arielle ^^ that's what was "not quite clear to me", might help you as well (at least worth a try).
15:57
@Izzy No, it's not mine. In fact, after that answer where you told me not me not to be fooled by the link (that yamaha something) I've been down-voting very scarcely (and I mean it) on any answer. I just flag as VLQ/"not an answer" and move on, unless the content is insensible to comprehend (like $%^&*).

@Firelord NP, was just a "wild guess" – sorry having bothered you :)

This question has link to an online store. This may result in unnecessary traffic to that site (could be a spam question, though it may be genuine too; IDK). I thought of removing the link and embedding a pic of the product, but there are some specs involved with it too that would be a pain to write. So, should I just ignore it (though an edit is required where the link needs to be enclosed under text)?

Interesting comment in this revision. :D
17:48
@Firelord LOL That "Community" user has humor #D
@Firelord How about my edit, picking the core specs relevant to the question and leaving the link "for more"?
18:07
@Izzy Yeah, No kidding. :D
@Izzy That looks much better, though I still feel uneasy with that online store link, but that may be my overreaction to it. Thanks though!
@Firelord Anytime. I'm not 100% happy with it, but the current variant should cut off half of the "curiosity clicks" at least, with the product image and a short description being integrated. Others might still click when interested in it (which is in the interest of the shop as well then), or to see the full specs (which is what the link is for).
@Izzy I had SuperSU as well, but unchecking 'Namespace separation' didn't fix the issue, even after a reboot
18:26
@Arielle Sorry to read that. But it was worth a try at least. In case I find something else, I'll see to let you know (if I still find you then, that is).
@Firelord Yeah, my "shell-fu". Learned a lot of that while developing my Adebar :)
${app:8:5} would be an extension to that: cutting off the first 8 chars, and then picking the next 5 only – abandoning the rest.
@Izzy Cool! There must be a name for this. How do i even Google then except that I copy-paste it?
"substrings in shell"
You can even "search & replace" in a string :) Just browse through Adebar sources, you'll find tons of that there. Often with comments what that statement does, so I can remember that later (in case it got too complex ;)
most of that is in lib/packagedata.lib
${zeile##*[} # strip leading
@Izzy Sure will, when needed :) I was thinking of bookmarking the conversation and the system tells me to choose two messages, how do I choose the other one?
${zeile%%]* # strip trailing
put together, it picks the string within brackets: foobar [moo]moo :)
@Firelord Huh? Bookmarking chat or what? And where?
These tricks, I lose the screenshot in the heap, so I was thinking of a bookmark of the demo of the commands.
18:36
You've lost me. Where are you? On the question? Here in chat? What are you doing?
@Izzy Issue solved, I was talking about bookmarking the conversation on this chat. Solved, it was a silly mistake.
Guess so. Simply hover the first message, click the "arrow-down" appearing on the left to it, right-click "permalink", and copy its URL :)
Not sure what you did to get the request of chosing a second message, though.
@Firelord Oh: a named one! Now you must teach me that.
Ah, forget it – I've found out myself :)
Nice trick, I'd never checked that without you presenting me such a link #D
(guess that also answers where I've lost you, clicking the second message ;)
@Izzy Yeah :D
I was closing the dialog and then clicking the message.
18:52
LOL OK :)
