Does anyone know where the auto-rotate option has gone from KitKat? :/

It's not in the Display menu anymore.

This is on a Nexus 7 stock 4.4.2

For the OS conversation, I'll just interject that ArchLinux is amazing.

Open first your mobile menu and click on Sim service >In service menu list select flash option >and after that just click on activation option and select the Deactivate option and you will get a message Flash! off >and in the flash list select my topic option and just select all service as off...

it's a semi-plausible answer to the question, but because the page happens to mention "flash sms", there's a spam link to do with adobe flash in the answer

if it weren't for the fact the link is clearly unrelated, I'd never have spotted it

@DanHulme OP describes 2 suggestions shown: one in the actual keyboard itself (which I also know from all my devices), and a second one in some popup (never seen such, or at least I don't remember). What's that second one, which is what he wants to get rid of? Where's it coming from?

Just from your comment, I see you're referring to something in the app itself ("red underlines" got me on the track); so it might very well be none of the apps I use do that :)

@Izzy no, it's not in the app, it's an Android feature

it looks like that

and like in the screenshot, it often appears over the keyboard and keyboard suggestions/completions
