I have come across a coupe of phrases from the book Wren and Martin which are labelled as Stereotyped phases.They are:

1. For conscience' sake.

2.for goodness' sake

3.at his fingers' ends

4.out of arm's way.

5.the boat's crew.

What do these really mean. I more intended for a discussion about these topics.:-)
